I agree on his worth but have to be careful about these kinds of rumors. Remember when it was floating around that Konecny wanted 10M? - MJL
Again I said I don't know for sure, but if he was asking for 6.5m would this contract negotiations stalled this far? Maybe it's over term? I don't see a holdout and taking this long for that. It normally ends up being over commitment and pay.

dont see in the post i responded too where you said hypothetical - hello it's me 2050
I'm tired of the Kolosov BS
If Jeremy Swayman was on the market and you had no choice on whether the Flyers got him or not.
What would be a reasonable price to acquire him be to you? - Glak18
In the past I have actually used the word hypothetical and people still do the same thing, wanted to try something different, but have the same meaning. |

I know it was a hypothetical situation is why I said exactly the same thing in my initial post.
I read an interesting study where they asked many prison inmates about hypothetical situations, many of them could not comprehend what was asked.
Q: Let's say you didn't have breakfast today.
A: But I did have breakfast, I had oatmeal
Q: Ok but let's pretend you didn't for a quick second
A: I am very confused, I did have breakfast though
The results were interesting. - Glak18
I see this every day here.
Am I in prison?

The lack of history without that partner is what would scare me. He could take it and run away with it, but that's a big contract to hope for. - Glak18
Agreed, didn't think about that

Blackhand: when Davis was drafted, and Hamilton was on the board, I argued with you in favor of Davis.
Based on results until now, you were right and I was wrong. Shades of BG versus Earl Thomas is the best hope we can have at this stage. - PT21
I wasnt totally against Davis, but the way it played out, all signs pointed to Hamilton....i hope Davis gets his ish together because he's not a stiff and could still turn into something.....I wont blast Howie until that happens |

No one was really shocked, it was pretty common knowledge with the "rumors" floating around for decades. Rumors are funny though, they always have a base of truth to start. The only thing missing is the final confirmation.
He may have had everything and could of laid low, but when the expiration date comes...it comes no matter what you do.

Not sure if he asked for 6.5 or offered 6.5. There us a big difference

The most charitable explanation for him and the Eagles D is: 3 DCs in 3 years, and also, very young line except BG, who sadly, is by far their best player on the line.
But teams don't usually correct these kind of issues in mid-season. They are in absolute disarray.
All teams are running outside zone on them. They simply are not able to evade/shed the blocks.
Over under on Darth Vader in the hoodie replacing Sirianni after next season? Saw him on ESPN2. Still sounds awfully smart. |

I have volunteered with post-incarceration opportunity org in the Philly area. There is a dude around here, who was part of a biker gang in WI, who was the head of one such (went to max security himself). These guys, they don't seem so bad*. They can handle hypotheticals iotw. At least, the ones I have met. Probably a biased sample, since they have managed to get it together enough to go looking for a job.
(*Aside: Problem is, they get so used to the regimen of prison: the routine, and not having to work for a meal, that they almost want to go back. PO are absolute poops with way too much power. In fact, in the US, too many cops are essentially glorified goons - I assume we have all seen the Tyreek video. One step above the meathead bouncer who is power tripping).

Yes, that is true. As an outsider 6.5m seems like a reasonable offer for both parties, but all I know is the team's offer is lower than the players ask
We have to know the offer at least has to be more than 3.475m per which he signed for 1 year...maybe he was told if he played well again after that extension they would pay such and such amount then backtracked? Maybe that's why it gotten this far. |

The study wasn't FOR prisoners, it was done because prisoners are easy study groups.
I believe there was a cross study that was part of it that asked the same thing to people who were not prisoners, but I don't remember for sure.
There have been so many papers and studies done using hypothetical vs Real scenarios, the one I happen to see more recently related more towards narcissistic tendencies and lower IQ.

The fact someone camped out for at least 12 hours waiting for him, had the tools to do the job....
There's just some mushy brained people who feel if the job doesn't get done completely then it's not a big deal. Look how pathetic people are when they talk about the first time...it's about his ear. Someone lost their life and there are people out there that are focused on his ear, I don't care if he had no damage at all.
If someone gets caught in the school parking lot with all the tools, is it not a big deal because the kids weren't really in danger?
I would say the same thing no matter who the candidate was, unfortunately the fact is it's only one party doing it to the other. The end, the whole story. |

I find it strange that this guy somehow knew that Trump would be golfing that day when it wasn't even on his schedule (supposedly) until that morning. The other thing that I find strange is the fact that a secret service guy (aren't they supposed to be sharp shooters) fired 4 to 6 shots and missed the guy. |

No one, no one in a position of authority or responsibility in any party has absolved the seriousness of the situation because the end result was harmless. |

He went there randomly, I assume. Trump golfs constantly. So, probabilistically, there was a decent chance since his schedule for political events showed a clear day.
If someone powerful did want him dead, you don't think there could be more efficient ways? They can't jam the controls on his aircraft? Sabotage his car for it to swerve? And if actually going through this method, have it fail, with the net result being a rise in his polls and a greater likelihood of actually bringing about the outcome they are trying to prevent?
Are you sure you have a logical brain?

I never said I thought it was for prisoners. I was merely saying that the prison population I have encountered would be able to engage in simple hypotheticals.

Every single question you have, many other Americans find it strange too and would like answers. Just like the 1st time in PA.
Those questions all go back to Secret Service, which I find a lot of people don't seem to understand are not handpicked body guards for either candidate...they are assigned by the DOJ, the same department throwing out indictments. So many coincidences...what does a logical brain tell you there?

- PT21 I'm not suggesting that someone powerful wanted him dead. I'm suggesting that it was a hoax to boost his sagging numbers like when his numbers went up drastically after the first attempt on his life. I mean, logically it doesn't seem to be the case now, but how does a supposed sharp shooter miss 4 to 6 times? |
