I trust HuGo to see what's out there. I can't say the same for the blogger Hugo bragging about NYC.

they do say big as in a top 4 D, not a big size D, Kovac is a 6th/7th D, not a top 4 D
- Symba007

Teams who have top 4 RHD's typically don't trade them because they are hard to get.

If HuGo want to trade for one it's going to be very expensive, I wonder what he would be ready to trade in return.

I still don't believe this rumor.

Nice. Won't be able to watch Monday's game, going to see Mike Ward's show at salle Albert Rousseau.

Odds are you'll have a better time at the Mike Ward show.

I think Hugo made his big move with Laine already and will let camp plays out now.

Indeed, he has done a great job so far ... excellent management of assets (ie. getting two 1st round picks for Monahan)

If we compare where we were 2 years ago and now, we actually have some interesting assets in our cupboard, we also have a poop ton of draft picks in 2025 (9 picks in the first 4 rounds).

These are things we never had under the Bergevin/Timmins regime ... granted we had to tank to get those but it beats being a bubble team forever.

Bergevin was doing good trades but most of his draft choices were abysmal.

on RDS...? haven't seen anything about the scrimmages, they did the rookie tournament and they'll be broadcasting Monday's game, but not the red vs. white games as far I know.

Bergevin needed to make trades BECAUSE his draft picks were bad, he had to keep plugging holes in the lineup to keep the boat afloat. There was no long term vision.

When he left, very few players in our lineup had been drafted and developed in-house.
