oddly I think Reinbacher would stand out more in an NHL context, as he isn't a flashy player like Mailloux or Hutson can be. he should've taken a few more risks during those rookie games but he's pretty solid defensively and doesn't look prone to making a lot of mistakes.

wouldn't be surprised at all if he did become just that. even if I try to remain objective and not get too excited the conclusion is still that the backend should be looking pretty damn good, and very soon. with Demidov joining next year, and potential other trades, this is a good time to be a habs fan imho, compared to the last 2 or 3 decades especially lol.

Slaf will get better as well. Hopefully there wont be as many injuries this season.

I think in two years, they will be considered part of the cream of the crop in the league. In 3-4 years, I honestly think they will be considered the overall best in the league.

On offense, should Demidov shine, and everyone progressing, combine that with a few trades or signings to fill in the missing pieces, it will be a really bonerific time to be a Habs fan.

Slaf is only 20 years old, it's crazy when you think about that really.

I take it you wouldn't want people seeing you give him a hummer, which you would gleefully do in private.

it will take a few years obviously but it's looking good. I said it before, Habs will compete for a playoffs spot when their dcore is mature. 3 years?

The blog disappears from the main page once enough different bloggers post their stuff.

Either way, I'll try and keep the thread alive on the main page if I can.

I received the paperwork to become the full time blogger, now I just have to make up my mind if I actually want the responsability to write blogs on a regular basis for a whoopin potential 50$

i am pretty sure you becoming a blogger is the death knell.

They'll be close this season and make the playoffs next year.

While it remains to be seen what concessions the Bruins and Swayman will have to make as far as term and salary when pen is finally put to paper, Sweeney did strongly push back against what he called several “inaccurate” reports about the team’s ongoing negotiations.

In particular, Sweeney took umbrage with Barstool Sports’ “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast — which he purposefully referred to as the “Spit Up On Yourself Podcast”.

I tried listening to that podcast, since it was pretty popular and talking about hockey I figured I'd like it.

I really, really didn't.

No no, it was a joke. In fact, he was the guy to draft on my list in 2023.

I just hope we made the right choice wth Reinbacher. I do think he'll be good but it would help if the guy I wanted instead doesn't turn into a bonafide superstar.

the comparison between a flashy forward and a defenseman is kinda poopty to begin with imho, but they will be compared for sure. Reinbacher should be a top pairing guy, so I'm not too worried though.

I think Reinbacher's ceilng is to become a Ryan Suter type of defenseman. Which would be fantastic.

It will be nice to follow him in Laval when the season begins. Mailloux made big strides last year in the AHL, no reason Reinbacher cannot do the same.

Go back to the interview they did with EE during the Summer of '21. They needed to stop the interview because fatEE started choking on Petry's balls
