A GM with some cahones needs to pitch an offer sheet and get this ball rolling. Maybe it'll teach Sweeney a lesson at the same time.

Why would he report without a contract? What if he were to get injured. The Bruins need to go pound sand on this, Swayman is 100% in the right here. He shouldnt show up without a contract.

All the more reason why I'd like to see him sign for that much!!

I hate to be captain obvious, but are you sure you are a rangers fan? the last thing you would want is for any above avg goalie to sign for crazy numbers. If he gets 10 mill, what do you think Igor Shesterkin signs for? His contract is up after this year isnt it? Hes prob eligible to sign now. I would think that number would be 12+ if Swayman gets 10... Sometimes ya really gotta think these things through

Bruins are solid defensively and Korpisalo is a much better goalie than he showed in Ottawa.

Korpisalo will do fine this year

Habs have the picks. Would need to shed some salary though.
Would be a nice way to spark that rivalry back up too.

Bruins have been getting homer deals routinely for over a decade which IMO has given Sweeney false confidence. The McAvoy and Pasta deals have shifted that narrative - Sweeney might be miffed, but as a player with considerable leverage, Swayman and his agent are doing their colleagues a favor by raising the bar on starter salary expectations. Rumors that the Bruins were trying to lock their consensus 55+ starter for 8 years at 6 something is laughable pipedream business. With only 8.6M cap available at this point, Boston might need to move Peeke to get the $ needed for what should be 8 digits long term. Look for Swayman to sign a short term 2*8.6M otherwise.

Quite sure, actually! Lol
I get your point, but unfortunately I already expect the number for Igor to be around 12. I also feel that Drury could easily deflate that by pointing out to Igor's agent that a large salary for Swayman would be more exception, than rule.

A holdout is when you have a contract and don’t show up. He’s an unsigned free agent. He’s not holding out he’s still negotiating.
