Not really. He played 9 games before the playoffs and overall had poor numbers. Don’t get me wrong, I think he is a pretty good prospect but he isn’t ready. He needs to have a strong season in the A.
On a positive note, Raty has made enormous strides since last year. His skating is no longer a weakness, NHL shot and strong in the dot. Most impressively, the kid is smart and seems to drive play. I think he deserves a spot, at least until Joshua is back. |

I don’t, this guy is a (frank)en wind bag, his evaluations or “takes” are (frank)en asinine, he spews verbal diarrhea whenever he posts.

What did you disagree with? Silovs being ready or you would prefer to see Raty back in the A? |

Raty has made the strongest case, so far, in the preseason for a roster spot. Most importantly what the team needs on right side face offs that he can do well by switching his grip. RT has said it’s important from a coaches utility especially on the PK. Will be close what they decide.
Silovs does seem to struggle on the long shot. It may be the book on him. He will need to work on it. The ups and downs of a young goalies development. |

If you aren’t concerned he has now gone 37 games without an even strength goal you are the one that has a drug problem. hopefully he gets his head back in hockey or this teams window is over. His contract is a far bigger concern than Demkos health - CanuckDon
I'm not concerned, I'm confident he'll get back on track.
If you think a depth player who's trying to make the team and therefore putting in maximum effort in preseason is a concerning factor against a guy who's just coasting to ramp it up for the real games... well that's just a stupid fu cking take |

37 games without an even strength goal and the guy makes $11.6MM. You not having concerns is a pretty stupid take |

I don't see the point of ragging on players until there is somewhat of a NHL team put out there. Two games left... enough already.
My opinions on running AHL line ups until the end of preseason has been well stated in the past under Green and Bruce. Loved how they ran it last season. |

They’ll probably run a more NHL complete line up for the last two games. But might still need to look at a few players.
On the line are Canuck roster extras including Blais decision. Raty for starter consideration in the mix. JL we’ll see but likely Abby bound.

This year he makes that amount, not last year. There have been zero actual games played. I'll be concerned if 37 games into the season he hasn't scored an even strengther. Until then, there's no point in hysterics.
Hope you're enjoying all those preseason all stars |

It looks like pond hockey at times out there for both teams. I'll admit, I'm a bit worried about Silovs. That maybe now that he's gotten a few starts that there's a book on him and he'll have to make some adjustments. The Flames looked like they were targeting a certain type of goal...and it was working. |

Agree as good as Silovs played in some PO games last season he needs seasoning.
Raty has looked decent so far. |

I know you've mentioned the importance of pre-season stuff before however our goalie situation is quite concerning. I think Tocchet will have the team prepared for the most part with the last few preseason match ups...however the Goalie thing has me worried quite a bit... |

I don’t care how he plays in preseason. But it would be nice to see him at least have a good shift. Hughes played one game and was clearly the best player on the ice. If Miller was healthy he would certainly have at least a few shifts that demonstrate he gives AF. Be a leader ffs. The kid is a (frank)ing head case. |

I expect him to at least have a few shifts a game where he looks engaged. Massive new contract and he was garbage the last 40 games. Is that an unrealistic expectation? He has a lot to prove and he still doesn’t appear interested in playing hockey |

You’re such a drama queen, put your soother down, grab one of your flower drinks and just enjoy the first few months of the season. U.S. Thanksgiving the Canucks will be sitting pretty. |

Unsolicited review last night from the game:
- Silovs had some tough bounces, not as bad as stat line would indicate
- Soucy & Desharnais looked pretty rough as a pairing, alotta size but not much puck movement and got caught outta position alot by flame waterbugs … the lomberghinni is real thing haha
- Dpetey can see the potential
- Raty looked good even goal aside
- Garland by far best canuck
- Saddledome is a dump no doubt but sitting 100’s (which I usually don’t) makes a huge difference … new jumbotron some nice lipstick on the pig
