Komarov and Novikov have me thinking Johnson needs to be on the trade block as well - lulags

Shout out to Buff36...
Flyers waived Attard, we did talk about him early in the summer. Torts said he's not seeing the ice or reading plays good enough. - BuffaloHerd
Interesting, if they hadn't signed Rathbone and Gilbert I would say sign and send him to Rochester. |

Looks like Benson is grabbing the 2nd line wing hole we had, so 3rd line wing becomes the new hole. Don't see any great fits right now, can Kulich eventually grab that spot or is he a bad fit/not ready? Looks like for the time being its the usual suspects Greenway and Krebs. - BuffaloHerd
Zucker McLeod Kulich would be interesting with McLeod's speed Zucker's board work and Kulich's shot. |

Aren't the Flyers just going to send him down, if he clears?

Do you trust that line defensively? Wasn't that the reason the got McLeod?
Everyone seems to hate Greenway, but it just makes sense.

You're picking the most expendable parts, not anything that hurts to give up.
Sell low (or just let them walk) on guys who don't fit does feel like Kev's plan. - Lunaion
what is the value of johnson, rosen and krebs on the open market?
is that enough where that and a 1st gets you an ehlers type and throw greenway in for salary?
I doubt it's a throwaway year for the jets so it is probably off the table so swap ehlers for couture or schmaltz or andersson |

zucker has not been a plus player in over 6 years though which is why I think zucker and benson may get swapped |

IMO if they sign byram long term, that is what would affect johnson |

They all have some value, but who on earth wants all 3/4?

I think you hang onto RJohnson until Tage shows last year was just a down year and he is a 1st line center. If he falls flat this year, you may need to use Byram or Power in a trade for a 1st line center. Problem is what team is willing to trade a 1st line center, probably only getting a 1st-2nd line tweener unless you roll the dice on a team that has an established 1st line center but also has an coming 1st line center prospect that they willing use in a trade to fill a significant hole on that team (which likely would be top pair Dman). |

Pretty sure he would have to be on your NHL roster, because after claiming him you would need to waive him to go to Roch, then Flyers can re-claim him back and send directly to their AHL team. |

If the Sabres trade for a 1C, it's going to be the next GM.

I don't buy it. If they are trading anything of value, those aren't the prospects they want.

Depends who is bostons goalie? Do they have a back up option if swayman walks? He probably eventually signs though. |

How would he walk? Sitting out the season would be crazy, but they'd still own his rights.

I guess I would have to see, I just want a bit more Firepower on that line other than Greenway. |

Weird situation with Ruff only signed for 2 years, changing up what Donnie wanted to what fits Ruff. Could be a few players out the door if they don't buy in. Obviously wasn't the plan and Adams picks are losing there Worth. |

Yes, but those teams only want to trade the past their prime vets (usually 32+ years old). They are not trading any players in their prime unless you send them NHL proven younger players like Benson, Peterka, Quinn, Powers, or Byram. Also good older vets don't get moved for just Rosen + a draft pick, I doubt Cbus would consider that for Boone Jenner. Does adding Sammy interest Cbus or are they only interested in one of those mentioned proven young NHL kids of ours? |

Boston's system helps Goalies, we could have swapped UPL for Swayman last summer and we would probably be all complaining right now how Boston fleeced us on that trade. |

You're good, no apologies needed. I just remember you bringing his name up and after I did a little research I was all in on us trading for a package of him and Farabee. Apparently we can get Attard for free now. Kind of funny as it shows just how little I know. |
