Not sure if he will get that opp considering how young he is, but I think we are seeing why the Flyers like him so much. That kid's gonna be a player and he def has 1C potential. Kinda seems like a faster version of Brindy. His speed is gonna be a game changer. - 26912 PP
Ultimately it depends on what he becomes obviously but by all regards and reports. He is not considered to have 1C potential. 2/3C potential. He needs to get stronger to play in the NHL. Stronger on his skates so he's not knocked off stride

So what conclusions did you make seeing them against the caps C team? - hello it's me 2050
Couldn't watch the game.
Had to depend on youtube reviews and viewers on here.
From what I can tell, Drysdale is still a smooth skater and looked good. I was worried about the extra weight maybe slowing him down.
People said Brink looks bigger. He needed to add mass and conditioning.
Not mush to tell about Fedetov, made saves but didn't get much work.

Rating a players potential doesn't have anything to do with mock drafts.

Sure it's been posted, but the Flyers have Johnny and Matt Gaudreau's dad Guy out helping with practice today. Nice gesture. |

just to clarify - the caps dressed at least 8 regulars as they are mandated to do so by the nhl since they are at home. Also, they have two or three very good prospects which dressed. I agree it was not their best lineup or even close, but maybe we just have a few players all between the ages of 18 and 25 that can actually play.. its ok to admit that. - 26912 PP
-who are the 8 regulars that will be on an nhl opening night roster in a few weeks?
- so the flyers have a few players that can play. same as every other nhl team. that is impressive. |

I thought he looked good. He wasn't peppered, but I was able to see that he's likely nhl size and moves pretty well for a big guy.
I know I should feel shame (hahah) for watching a preseason game and enjoying all six of the flyers goals (even though it wasn't A lineups), but it was also good to see hockey again and to see how MM looked in a game. - Hextall271
I’m with ya…I saw a bunch of positives in the game. It was a nice start. |

so you think he added 18 pounds of muscle? now that is a hoot. - hello it's me 2050
Are you saying you spotted him a Tony Lukes this summer?
Let’s give him credit for the work he put it! It’s not easy putting on that much muscle. I’m sure that will help him absorb the hits and hopefully his shoulders hold up and he has a healthy season. |

I think the top is more concrete, but getting past the top 10, more of gut call with all the data. He was good, fast, good back check, hit the holes on O the side, needs to work on his finish for sure. He is a gym rat but still, more strength would help, plus learning how to use his frame to leverage to protect the puck and have strong balance under pressure to release his shot quicker and more accurate. Hard to say 1C with 1 game, but his stock rose after this game, 1 point for DB and the team on the pick, more to come. |

By who? All that matters is what the Flyers think his potential is, and they believe he can be a top center. You also have to consider that those who rated Jett did so based on the first half of last season. He will go back to Guelph and play tons of minutes in all situations and have a monster year. You can already see in training camp and in the scrimmage and pre-season game yesterday this kid has the ability to be special. I loved what I saw in yesterday's game where he used his speed to generate some really nice scoring chances. |

Drysdale's skating and creating was down right impressive, still only a pre-season game. Brink was quicker, he had surgery in his first season, seems he work in the summer paid off, he was quicker than last season, again a lot more open ice in pre-season. Fed last year seemed choppy in his movement, seemed his technique was better.

Looking forward to see what Deslauriers can do on the ice tonight. Would have made more sense to play him in same game as Michov though no? |

I am saying it is doubtful he put on 18 pounds of muscle. He has off season surgery. Had to rehab said surgery. Then found time to add 18 pounds of muscle. sure why not. |

then should be real easy to name the 8 regulars who will be in their opening night lineup. |

It’s impossible to put on 18 lbs of pure muscle in one summer unless you are on a Dwayne Johnson/RFK Jr level gear stack. |

I don't disagree, but top 2 and the top 5 seems to be pretty clear in most drafts. I think the quality of the draft is part of it, having a Beddard in it makes a difference, next season predicted to have more top talent than this past season. Having a Lafrenière type draft maybe there is more parody, maybe it takes the players longer to have an impact, that type of draft meets what you are saying, but still Lafrenière, the top pick, is turning into a really good player.

Please post say a 10 year record of say Central Scotuing rankings, actual draft picks made by FOs, and provide proof of your claim that the former has been outperformed by the latter.
