Not even a little. There has been jobs up for grabs …and he just never seems to put it all together. Has the tools…but … - landros 2
When has there been jobs up for grabs?
I am not saying he should be on the NHL roster by any means. He has never been given an extended opportunity to find out.
Roster is set to start the season. No matter how he or others may play. No opportunity from what I can see. |

Zamula last year? Walker wasn’t exactly setting the world on fire when he arrived (salary dump)..Off the top of my head. I mean he just doesn’t look any better then when he got here…I liked his game but just don’t see the improvement. |

if he's not blowing folks away in LHV what makes you think he'll fare better on the flyers?
they've watched his game plenty |

I hoped by now he would have progressed….I just think there’s better options…he struggled tonight. |

Then no one on the Phantoms will ever make the NHL since according to you they are not blowing anyone away.
Can you clarify what defines blowing folks away as a defenseman in the AHL. He was selected to the all star game so must have been doing something right.
Did Zamula ever blow folks away? How about Foerster? |

Wow that was brutal. A real sh*tshow. No offense (pun intended) but looking at that lineup I was wondering if they'd score any goals. I was looking forward to watching Brink again, Foerster and Bonk. |

Not if it’s a one way contract….. - landros 2
There is no salary cap in the AHL and there is no maximum salary. A player doesn't have to be on a one way NHL contract to make good money in the AHL. For example, on the Flyers, Anthony Richard is signed to a two way NHL contract. His NHL salary 775K and his AHL salary is 500K. Most AHL teams will have a veteran player or two signed to higher AHL salary on a two way contract.

No matter how good Attard may play they would not use him as a replacement for Zamula. Use some common sense. |

My point is if a guy has an NHL salary….that’s what he makes….like Peterson….he makes his full NHL salary….perhaps I didn’t articulate that. The are guaranteed contracts. |

Petersen's contract is one way, so he makes the same salary whether he is in the AHL or the NHL. You are correct on that.

Foerster came to camp and blew people away, that is why he made the team. The Flyers were not expecting both him and Brink to make the team.
To make the team you have to be better than the players on it. Zamula earned his spot. Attard hasnt earned jack. If he continues to play like he did tonight he has no business being on the team. Ive heard the Flyers are higher on Ginning than Attard. Even if the Flyers made a move to make room for a call up, Andrae and Ginning have looked much better than Attard.
