Yes. I was going to add that it’s an epidemic up here in Toronto and Montreal for stolen vehicles. The other day in Toronto an 18 yr old woman fake being interested in buying an suv. She got in the drivers side pretending she was gonna test drive then ran over the owner. Of course she was Granted bail but re arrested as she has several other charges pending.the pendulum has swung too far here - Hextall271
Heard once they get stolen car to exporting port, police can't do anything.
Do these statistics reflect a true measure of whatever they are trying to measure, unlike the so-called FBI crime statistics erroneously and dishonestly cited by ABC at the presidential debate a few weeks ago where the FBI omitted crime statistics from multiple metropolitan areas? Yeah that contorted the statistics.
All a graph is, is a visual depiction of underlying data. What’s the underlying data? Who collected it? What was the methodology? Whose graph is it? A graph pulled off the internet or anywhere else hardly tells an accurate story if the data isn’t sound.
So, again, what’s the methodology behind that graph? - mikeyo27
Graph is probably done by the same people who make graphs that say that bidenomics is working.
The people who are living through it know better than any propaganda graph.
Since you are so well informed about the travails of academia, would you be able to answer some basic logic/stat question I teach in my introductory freshman class and to high schoolers in summer classes?

I was just watching that Apple store in Philly get looted a few days ago. By all metrics that is considered a crime. But not one person will be charged with anything. Therefore, according to statistics, no crime was perpetrated.
The same place, Statista. Violent crimes are up in Canada over the last 20 years and this site even points out that overall crime rates are obviously reduced by the legalization of drugs in Canada. So my point was valid.

While I don’t engage in the personal involvements here, I have the utmost confidence I could educate your students. Certainly depending upon the subject matter, as I know my limitations, so don’t expect me to educate them on physics.
Just because Briere caved on Fed because he was desperate to make the playoffs last year doesn't make Fed a better guy, it just makes him the guy who got paid....
/
Briere brought over Fedotov cause he was desp to make the playoffs last year? What in the heck are you talking about? If he was that desperate Walker does not get traded and they would have backfilled Carter Hart via trade. They also told anyone who would listen, they have 0 playoff expectations and they are rebuilding.
Also Fedotov is 28 and has proven himself to be a very good goalie in the KHL. Some of his seasons were outstanding in the KHL. I also would expect that had he not spent a year in the Arctic hanging out with the Russian Military two years ago, his numbers last season would have been much better. I don't see the comparison between the two Russian goalies other than they are Russian.. I would guess Kolosov is insecure or could just be a head case. He probably would have seen a start or at least a call up by xmas if he only came over this summer. Every team in the NHL needs more than 2 goalies every single year. However, if he changes his mind, I will gladly pick him at the airport and grab his gear at baggage claim for him.

You think that crime reports are generated only if someone is charged?

Based on the syntax of this statement, ("engage in the personal involvements" lol) I hope the education would not involve a course in grammar.

Criminal charges usually come much later. Thousands of murders, rapes, break-ins lead to no charges ever being filed. Sometimes such charges are filed years later.
Someone seriously suggested crimes would need a criminal chargesheet to be included in official stats. I mean, how far in cuckooland do you need to be to think that?
Saw a story where one guy tracked his stolen truck, showed it to the police and said their hands are tied. Useless! - WhiskeyMan
On New Years Eve, I was subject of a hone invasion. I chased the intruders and caught the intruders almost 2 blocks away. I was shirtless and shoeless. An altercation ensued, where I was struck in the face twice before I retaliated. I proceeded to beat the individual until they were no longer a threat.
I suffered a broken 5th metacarpal (boxers fracture) and a fracture to the proximal joint of my ring finger. The injuries required surgery.
I immediately called the police, but the intruders showed back up my house with their families as the cops arrived. It was chaos. The police took their statements first, in which, the individual stated they hit me multiple times before I responded. It's stated that way in the police report. The Lt on the scene asked me if it was a mutual altercation, I said it was a home invasion and self defense.
I was charged with FELONY 1 AGGREVATED ASSUALT along with a few other charges and spent the night in jail

In Philadelphia, you can shop lift all you want as long as the total is less than $500. Why when you go into Wal-Mart, everything is locked up. Alvin Bragg is busy downgrading felonies in NYC. Nothing but liberal left propaganda.

When adjusted for population growth in Canada over the period between Q1 2002 and Q4 2023, those stats (total number of violent crimes only) show a 5% decrease in overall rate between 2002-2023. The population of Canada grew by nearly 9.4 million people over that time.

The other way around, surely.
Sorry to hear that, but honestly, if you beat the poop out of them, technically, it could be aggravated assault unless you can prove that the extent of the retaliation is proportional to the threat.
If say an unarmed man breaks in, and you shoot him, that could be homicide unless you can prove he was about to physically harm you. That is the law.
