I saw the police report, they stated they punched me multiple times first before I reailiated......The police did an egregious and fully incompetent job in handling the situation but it epitomizes the legal climate of this city under the auspiciousness of Krasner - THE BLACK HAND
Then, why didn't the self-defense part kick in automatically? Because you chased them?

You are on drugs if you think 20, 30, 40 crimes were logged after that incident. The only crime that will be "logged" is when the people say it's racist that the Apple store shuts its doors because it can't afford to stay open anymore because people can wantonly steal all its merchandise without repercussions or consequences. - MBFlyerfan
Nice try, but you claimed there would be zero crimes in the report because no one was charged:
"I was just watching that Apple store in Philly get looted a few days ago. By all metrics that is considered a crime. But not one person will be charged with anything. Therefore, according to statistics, no crime was perpetrated.
That is how it works."

love seeing how 7-11's and like are overrun/ looted by a crowd of people. always the same common denominator. must have had/have some real good parents.
the fact they dont or rarely hold these scumbags accountable there is no word for. That crap that went down this weekend is a joke. - hello it's me 2050

Dude, I literally linked to the FBI site that provides you with metro data. Not only is there data, it shows the same stats that is true for the nation as a whole.
Here is the post again.
I was able to find the official crime stats. Needless to say, violent crime (and all crime) in NYPD is available, and follows the general trend of large declines.
- PT21
Since crime is a sociological phenomenon influenced by a variety of factors, the FBI discourages ranking locations or making comparisons as a way of measuring law enforcement effectiveness. Some of this data may not be comparable to previous years because of differing levels of participation over time.

But this is a separate issue. You claimed that FBI doesn't collect data from Metro areas. The link contains data from NYPD (and every other metro area I could think of) all the way back to present.
You also implied that if it was included, it would show crime is way up. The data shows trends similar to national decline.

I can't speak for all fans but I would welcome him. - MJL
I'd welcome him as well, especially if he comes in strong, but we all know how some of these local fans can be.
My brother already has his panties wadded over him not coming over so i was just curious.

All this talk of police ignoring inner city crime, what about the broccoli heads named Jayden, Cayden, and Trayden looting the suburban county fairs? Would love to see them do some hard time as well. |

How can anyone have faith in Coots to have a productive season - ClaudeFather
What reason do you have to suggest he wont? For half a season he was playing just a bit under how he left. There are several factors that clearly explain why his 2nd half was bad. |

It's nice for Jett to get a look, but realistically, what does he have to prove/do to get a roster spot this year? Unless he completely meshes well with Mitch, I just can't see him spending this year in NHL.
Has anyone commented if Forester's skating looks improved? - cdearth23
Nothing. I dont feel Briere or Jones have any interest in keeping him up regardless. You can prove he blongs in the lineup but he cant prove that he can continue to develop in the NHL where he wont have the luxury of taking risks and trying things.
Its hard to not be excited and want the shiney new toy up on the team but the FLyers should be patient with him. They need him to be a draft steal. Realistically the future rests on Frost and Luchenko to be the top 2 Cs at the moment. It is unlikely they will get one via FA.

Age, wear and tear, multiple back surgeries. One of those factors was running Coots into the ground in the 1st half of the season which helped his stats but was not sustainable.
If 26 year old Coots can come out to play that's great but 32 yr old Coots' body has seen some poop.

This statement is incorrect. - 77rams
It is absolutely correct. In my line of work, I interact directly with loss prevention officers of numerous major retailers in the city. Go into Wal-Mart and see how everything is locked up. Krasner's policy of making it a summary offense has resulted in shoplifting becoming a crime that isn't prosecuted in a lot of cases. Resulting in police ignoring the crime.Resulting in organized crime rings shoplifting from stores and reselling online. |

For all the reasons lol are you serious? He couldn’t handle a full season last year and there is no reason to think Torts isn’t going to play him a ton again. He hasn’t played a full season in years, all the surgeries, he’s cooked buddy. |

You dont think the reason he couldnt handle a full season was because
1) missed pretty much 2 full seasons
2) Was heavily played for a guy who hadnt played in 2 years
3) Had a Sports Hernia around the time of the decline.
Like many young players the ability to endure a full season doesnt just happen overnight. Coots has to get his endurance back. It is like expecting Landeskog to return for Colorado and perform at a level he played at before his injury all season long. It isnt going to happen. Everyone here knew Coots was playing too much given the amount of time missed. Torts didnt care and neither did Coots because frankly Torts had to scratch him to get him out of the lineup. He wouldnt do it himself knowing he couldnt play at an acceptable level

And for those exact reasons you should have no faith in him being productive across a full season, no chance he plays 70 games in my book |
