Here’s to hoping all three stay out of the lineup. Wahlstrom potted a nice on the other day with a laser of a shot but the rest of his game has been putrid. Engvall is just a bad contract. Martin is a bad contract in the making even if it’s for league minimum. Engvall will stay in the lineup of course due to his contract but it will more then likely be to the detriment of the team. |

Excited about what appears to be a legitimate top 6. |

I’m not sure what the plan is for Wahlstrom. Multiple years later and he’s still not really found his role. If the plan isn’t top 6, is it time to admit the draft pick didn’t pan out as expected and find a trade partner? I feel like Lou doesn’t bring in Tysplakov if Wahlstrom was in the plan. 🤷♂️ |

Not sure I agree with that articles sentiment. Sounds more like wishful thinking. Under Trotz, Pelech was a shutdown beast. Pulock was also super sound and that pair was a major reason for their success. This team can’t compete if that pair isn’t on their game. |

Wally needs a change of scenery. Love the guy but sometimes things just do not workout. Maybe he can garnish a mid to late round pick.
What does it cost the Islanders to buyout Engvall. If not buy him out demote him to Bridgeport. What are the cost implications?
I am good with the D-men. Hogberg could be a trade chip during the season if warranted. Send Kinkaid to BP.

I would agree need Pullock and Pelech to be consistent and healthy.

I do not agree with the article. The part not enough offense from the defense is true.

Roy said he has a chat with Duclair about the “non-negotiables” with #Isles of back checking and skating hard to bench. |

I love his shot. I loved his potential. He unfortunately was never able to put it together. I was really rooting for him to succeed. I just do not see if happening because of his inconsistency and lack of confidence.

Duclair, Tsyplakov, Foudy, Kalstrom...vs NJD definitely looks exciting having the new forwards. Horvat and Barzal more entrenched as the leaders up front. Another d man steps up for more depth and team can become a solid contender. Roy is not settling on a fourth place team. |

Interesting because Roy has stated tonight’s lineup will be our starting lineup. Engvall is not in tonight’s game. 🤞 |

Fact that Roy preaches a D first structure/system vs Lame Brains offense first system the Islanders should be better defensively then they were last year simply because of this.
It takes a group of 5 to play a tight defensive game and I believe with Roy having training camp and this group buying in and the majority playing D first under Trotz they will be good again 5v5.
Also Dobson and Romy should both be solid on the back line this year and may actually be as good or better than the Oelech and Pulock tandem.
Not worried about the D at all and quite honestly I’m really looking forward to how good the top 6 will be this year offensively.
If they click the Islanders will be considerably better this year than last.

The thing with Snow is he’s a likable guy. I’m sure he’s got some good bar stories. I realize he walked into a crappy situation with the isles but for this guy to be in that GM seat for all those years, was a travesty for us fans.
When asked about his future in hockey it was cringy listening to his long winded answer, when the answer is, no one’s calling him. He had Wangs ear and as a result kept his job for 12 unsuccessful years. |

I read an article saying they could keep Martin around all season on the PTO. Also, I would love to see Engvall in BPT. Even better , someone claiming him. |

Unless there's a team that's going to need help getting to the cap floor for the rest of the decade, he's not getting claimed. |
