Hate giving away assets to unload contracts but it isn’t happening without it. Been happening way too much with this team imo. Not sure what Lou was smoking when he gave that to Engvall.

And just like that Stefan Rosner seems to think Columbus will bite. I don’t see it hope to be wrong.

It would make more sense than basically any other team, save for maybe the Sharks. Jenner just went down with a bad injury in practice and Engvall would give them a bonafide NHL player, albeit one with a garbage contract. I still don't think anyone takes him, but if there were going to be someone that did...my money would also be on them.

The cap ceiling, maybe. But all they need to do in order to be compliant day 1 is meet the cap floor.

Yeah I’m saying those two teams have 20 million to spend, so they could feasibly take on Pierre Engvall

Ahh, gotcha. My bad. They certainly could, but I think it's more the term that kills it than the dollar amount

For #Isles, looks like Engvall along with Skarek, Hogberg, Foudy, Karlstrom, Fasching, Hutton and Bolduc all clear waivers

I’m a little surprised that Fasching cleared waivers.

Maybe they foresee that being an issue for the next seven years.

Interesting. Lou loves them Russians. If they get this guy, I’d be curious to see whose spot he takes. Plays center and wing.

Not that it means sh!t, but Eklund has the boys coming in dead last in the metro. I hope this is not the one-time Eklund is correct. LMAO

Personally, I have them in the middle of pack in the eastern conference. 6 through 8.

Varly gets the start for season opener. I’m ok with that

Cal Clutterbuck will work at the New York Islanders home opener at UBS Arena on Thursday, but he'll be behind a desk, not a bench. The NHL all-time hits leader will be part of MSG Networks coverage for the season opener against Utah Hockey Club
