Georges Laraques proposing Armia on the 1st line to start the year now... - BashCH
It's not the dumbest idea he's ever had.
Don't get be wrong, I think it's dumb.
Just.... he usually does worse.

it's the kind of poop that is bound to happen if they split up the 1st line and don't acquire anyone else to replace Laine... |

ask who, Laraque? not saying I agree with him but there aren't many top 6 options to play with, so if you don't keep the 1st line intact, there's always gonna be an "intruder" there with what they currently have.. |

I think Roy / Newhook get the first shot at the spots, then it is Armia and Anderson.

yup, and hopefully a few if not all of those guys will step up their game so there's a healthy competition for those spots, instead of going with the least horrible option lol. |

plenty of options. Roy, Newhook, Armia, Anderson, Kapanen. this should be fun! |

it's still a season for progress and development. even with Laine, nobody thought they were even close of making the playoffs. so either you play the kids (Roy, Kapanen...) either you play the vets to raise their value (Armia, Anderson). either way they should be fun to watch. just forget the standings. |

I have not seen one 'expert' putting them in the playoffs. not one. and that was before the injury. they all said that they should be better though. good enough for me. |

the team's objective was to actually be in the mix, which wasn't far fatched at all imo, so with a healthy lineup they wouldn't have been that far if they didn't make it... anyway we always think differently so I guess it makes sense that you're thinking positively while I find this is a horrible start to the year lol. |

oh it's a bad news Pat, noone can say otherwise, but that doesn't mean they won't be fun to watch, or that kids won't take an other step. it's a season which should look a lot like the last one imo. kids need to progress, get older... can't really fastforward here. |
