Think homie brought him up awhile ago, but sounding like Amari Cooper could be had. And he's only owed 2 mill this Year. - Buff36
they should have traded for him already... I actually like him more that Adams (to much money) |

Adams hasn’t been Adams this year. He’s been slower and lacking separation when compared to previous years.
And yes this take is from information from an analytic website.
Amari is younger and still looks good. Watson is just pathetic |

Yeah, I like these lines better, but put RyJo in for Clifton there. - QuinnFan
For some reason Adams doesn’t care for Ryan Johnson. It’s very weird.
It’s like he’s the ugly step child. |

Hamstring injury could have something to do with that |

Or he just doesn't fit the current line-up.
A guy that should have dominated pre-season looked meh. Lack of effort is a problem in itself. Earn your spot.

Here's to hoping he isn't the GM much longer. Guy is our biggest anchor. No joke, I think about 90% of the posters on this board could do a better job than him. |

Harrington with a nice article today:
Mike Harrington: You won't see a playoff prediction here until Sabres prove they can do it
Not doing it. Don’t even ask.
You probably want me to be optimistic about the Buffalo Sabres this year and I am. You want me to like the return of Lindy Ruff and I do. Big time. You want me to believe that Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch and Dylan Cozens will have better seasons than they did last year and I do.
You want me to say Rasmus Dahlin will be a great captain, Bowen Byram will turn into a boffo addition and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Devon Levi will form perhaps the best 1-2 combo of young goalies in the NHL. Yes, yes and yes.
You need to be convinced the power play will became dangerous again under new assistant coach Seth Appert, Zach Benson won’t have a sophomore jinx and a fourth line populated with newcomers will be miles better than what the Sabres have had in the past. Again: Yes, yes and yes.
My take on it is the it's not time for the Sabres to "Make the playoffs". You know, squeaking in by 1 or 2 points in the final wild card and losing in the first round. It's time for them to be a force in this league night in and night out.
Also, if anyone wants a good to get past these paywalls for articles use https://12ft.io/ - Buffalo--Sabres
He spent all offseason simping for Adams and he doesn't think they're going to make the playoffs lmao |

I think they can do it, doesn't mean I'm confident in saying that after the last 13 years.
They've got to prove it to everyone.

I think they can too, if they stay healthy up the middle. If they lose tage or cozens for 6 weeks I think they're cooked.
But Harrington spent the summer defending Adams and doesn't even have enough faith in his position to project a WC spot. Cmon, man |

They don't deserve it. Even if he is a dufus, I don't blame him.

"“He’s changed our mindset,” defenseman Connor Clifton said. “We have all this skill in the room and last year we would always just try to win by our skill.”
Ruff knows a strong training camp doesn’t guarantee much of anything, though. He’s missed the playoffs four times in the last seven full seasons he’s coached. His legacy in Buffalo is cemented, but patience is running thin with a fan base that hasn’t seen the playoffs since the last time Ruff was the coach.
“You can feel it’s not just a coach getting hired for two years and needs a job,” Samuelsson said. “He genuinely cares about the Buffalo Sabres and that rubs off on us. When your coach is in it for the right reasons just like we are it’s easy to rally around him and get behind the message he’s preaching. He’s already a legend. He just wants to add to it. He’s not doing it just to have a job.”
Ruff could have walked away from coaching and nobody would have batted an eye. The first time Adams called him to inquire about his interest in the Sabres’ vacancy, Ruff told him no. But he thought back to what he said when the Sabres fired him in 2013. He was fighting back tears when addressing reporters and said his biggest disappointment was letting down the fans and owner Terry Pegula. He wanted to get the job done for them.
Now he gets another chance to do that, starting with a pair of games against his old team, the Devils, on Friday and Saturday. With how much joy he’s finding in this latest stint in Buffalo, he laughed thinking back to the spring.
“I probably can’t believe that I originally hesitated,” Ruff said. “For Kevyn and I to reboot it again, why wouldn’t I do it? I still felt I had the energy for it. And then just the desire for Buffalo to see if we can get this ship in the right direction.”"

Only way I see that happening is if Terry sells, which is the only way this team ever gets back on the right track… |
