Patera, Brannstrom and Bains all reassigned to Abby. - dbot
Bains? I thought he was getting a few games due to injuries. Guess not.

Me too, he looks like he belongs. Gotta be first call-up when inevitable first injury occurs. |

Savvy moves by management from trades to signings to reclaiming Patera. All done just before roster submission and has set up Canucks well.
What a refreshing change to have confidence in management and a contending team.
Good news also on recovery front time lines for Demko and Dak by end of November. - Quinn's Quest

Think they had to send someone down... Raty looks better and plays center, and Aman would have had to clear waivers.
I'll get a new blog up tomorrow once all the lineup info drops |

Just saw Elliotte Friedman picking Quinn Hughes to win the Hart. Now that would be something. Last Dman to win the Hart was Pronger back in 2000. |

He finished 7th in Hart voting last year, so it's not completely outrageous. But I find it difficult to imagine him contributing much more than he did last year, which is fine.
There's also the fact that if Petey goes back to 100 pt form it'll steal a bit of the spotlight from Hughes |

Outplayed by Raty, there's only so much space on the roster |

I thought Bains looked better in the final game but Raty is a bigger need so he stays.
Raty blew it on the one goal the Oilers scored. Double teamed the wrong player but I fully expect that to not be a serious issue once he gets some experience.
Bains looked like a vet it the last game. Solid and a threat. He'll be back this season...

That would be sweet!! McBaby should probably have five Hart’s by now, at age 27. He’s just so hard to beat for it, unless the media cheats and selects a flavor of the month guy like Taylor Hall and Auston Matthews. |

I wouldn’t hand Petey 100pts any easier than Hughes. Hughes has emerged as our top player with many others backing him up. |

Just thinking of how different Pronger's game is from Hughes'. Two completely different players.

Yeah Pronger plays checkers now cause he likes the sound it makes when someone gets crowned.
Hughes is a laser tag guy |

A lot of different styles across different generations, as long as you get the job done. Love Hughes but I’m taking Pronger 10/10. |

Great that Raty is getting a look. More justification Horvat was a crap leader and had to be moved. Awesome trade! |

Don't see how Raty emerging is connected to Horvat's leadership but yeah, the trade is looking better and better with this new development.. |

I'd like to believed he'd get suspended for longer now than he did then, but tough to say. He was one of the dirtiest of all time. |

I'm taking Lidstrom, much more effective than Pronger and for much longer, and not as dirty. |
