I did miss last game but caught the previous two ... one live against Calgary. Desharnais and Soucy didn't look very good together. That said, Desharnais seemed to be distracted by that big Klapna guy from Calgary and caught between fighting him or just chasing him around after Hirose got heavily boarded. Can't blame him too much for not fighting though, that Klapna guy was just as tall as him and twice as thick! - Sayros
I hate Klapka. But ya, Vinnie was fantastic last game. Skated well and was a bastard defending.
Always entertaining reading the comments about getting another smallish defenseman who several think is the missing piece on defense. After years o f having a horrible defensive system, last year the team played extremely well, while using 5 large and physical defensemen, to go along with the 2 smaller defensemen.
Sure glad they don't listen to us idiot fans, especially Lefty
A lot better than the Diamondbacks. - Load Management
The Dbacks bats are electric, their starting pitching, not so much. They scored the most runs in the Major Leagues this year, but they allowed almost as many. Gotta get better starting pitching.

A little worried about San Diego. They have a good club.
Is being tied for 8th best odds considered a cup favourite?
I think Moneypuck had the Leafs winning the cup for a good chunk of last year - NorthNuck
If you go on X and look it up, you can ask the guy who posted it. I’m just posting what they posted. According to that chart the Canucks have the 6th best (tied) odds to win the Stanley Cup. I’m not sure what constitutes a “favourite”, I’m sure it’s a subjective opinion.
Carolina and Colorado are tied for 4th on that chart. Canucks and Tampa are tied for 6th.

Okay well I miscounted but tied for 7th isn't much better.
Edmonton 12%
Dallas 9.8%
Florida 7.9%
Carolina 7.6%
Colorado 7.6%
NYR 6.7%
That's 6 teams ahead of them. Essentially Moneypuck is saying they are a 2nd round team that has a small chance to make the 3rd round.

Interesting ... I thought most were pegging Carolina to take a step back. I don't necessarily believe it (I chose Andersen as my goalie in my fantasy pool). Colorado I've heard all over the place due to Landeskog & Nichushkin but any team with a Makar & Mackinnon in their prime has a good chance imho. Nice to see nucks getting some respect, but they're not going to catch teams off guard especially to start the year this year.

Have you seen the schedule? Predominately east coast teams, only Chicago and Calgary in the west. Seven east coast teams.
