Sort of weird that the NHL season starts today, as well as the Canucks play their last preseason game tonight.... but oh well, get to go to a bar here in Berlin and watch an NHL game

Brandan Ferraro has now entered the business. He did color on radio for some Canuck games this preseason. His voice is almost identical to Ray's. This should make Ruby happy for generations.

I saw him on an intermission. If there wasn't video, I would have had no idea it wasn't Ray. It's almost creepy how alike they sound ... voice, cadence, everything.
Dom caught so much shit for his ranking of the Canucks last year (Quinn Hughes as a C tier player) that he's being much nicer this time around - NorthNuck
I still see so much disrespect out there. It seems like most talking heads think that canucks winning the Pacific last season was a fluke.
If we can get our goaltending situation figured out, I think this season's roster is better than last season.

Off-season stuff has been great IMO. On paper, 'possibly' a better roster but we'll see how Tocchet translates it all to the ice. Demko healthy is huge. Plus the 11.6 mil dollar Swede needs to buck up. Another half-season like that and yipes...
What's up with Miller there are inklings of an injury?

Miller says he's fine. From the recent IMac interview:
Clearly, Miller’s patience was wearing thin with what was a reasonable interrogation over an injury/illness/issue that did not appear to be affecting the Canucks’ 103-point centre as he practised at full pace throughout training camp and the pre-season.
He's been practising at full pace so that would indicate nothing's wrong. Who knows. He's a bit of an enigma.

Forwards are better, Defense is worse, Goaltending is a big question mark. I see it as a wash, however the sky high shooting percentages have to come down a bit. I think the Canucks will finish with 105-ish points. Winning the division again depends entirely on how Edmonton does.
Excited to see the team put together tonight. I'm most curious about that 3rd D pairing.... - boonerbuck
They looked good standing up to the cheap shots by Nurse and co.
The whole system with the D moving up on the rush looks great. Two goals by D and Bains keeps putting some bite in PP2. PK and Silovs solid. The new lines have clicked looking good for top six.
