First pre-season game I watched, looked a little sloppy, Miller didn’t understandably have a good game. Overall some good things in there though. Both teams best players, McBaby, Draisaitl, Hughes and Pettersson, looked somewhat disinterested but had moments. |

Best thing to take out the last rehearsal before the season is that Canucks have legit options.
Solid goaltending and scoring ability. The depth and PK look improved. The new tweaks to the system needs work but you can see its potential is there. |

Yeah first full game I checked out as well. Pettersson still looks off...but we'll see once season rolls around and things pick up. Hughes looked ok. |

Petey had by far the most ice-time of any forward, he had two assists (excellent one to Soucy) and he was plus two. For a guy who appeared to be coasting he made a difference in the game. |

Such a beautiful time of the year, NHL hockey, MLB playoffs, NFL football, to a lesser extent NBA basketball is starting up. Gotta love it.

That's the one I suggested for the spool some time ago.

You're right... let's now work on you flipping your fishing rod over so you're not using that spinning reel upside down.
Last time I saw someone do that it was this young dude from Alberta fishing at the lake at the end of my road. He was using cured brand name minnows and a bobber. I warned him that fish or fish parts other than roe was illegal for bait. He brushed me off and said that he bought them at Canadian tire here in BC so they can't be illegal. He didnt grasp that the minnows are not illegal until you put them on a hook and cast it in the water. 45 minutes later the CO's showed up and gave him a fine. Even the CO's laughed about him using his spinning reel upside down.

I predominantly use a clinch knot or a palomar knot when salmon fishing. Just easy, I like easy. |

I like the *Improved Clinch Knot for tying to anything with a swivel. After you pass it through the gap in your twist, pass it back through the loop you created. Takes .25 of a second longer to tie but a stronger more fail safe knot.
For a hook it all depends what I'm doing. Loop knots(lures with no swivel or a fly) and bait knots that tie to the shaft instead of the eye and leave a sliding loop you can pull tight to hold roe etc...
