I've been saying it forever. The margins in the playoffs are razor thin. Any team can get hot at the right time and go all the way. The Leafs have had just about everything go wrong in the playoffs the last decade:
1) Matching up against the Dynasty Lightning team seemingly annually
2) JT injury
3) EVERYONE injured last year
4) Kadri suspensions
How many times have the Leafs been eliminated and their opponent goes on to the cup Finals?!? Heck, last year we lost in game 7 OT missing half our superstars and Woll for the bulk of the series. Sure, Boston goes on to lose to Florida in 6, but if the Leafs had been healthy in round 1 and carried that through round 2, they quite possibly could have beaten Florida. Maybe on paper that seems unlikely, but after things played out, it's not out of the realm of possibility.

I don't like westerns much, but Unforgiven is an absolutely incredible movie. I have to admit that I just looked at everything he's directed and I can say that since 1990 I have seen Unforgiven and Space Cowboys. He's directed 28 movies between 1990 and this one. I can also say that I didn't hate Space Cowboys - but it was sort of pablum - I couldn't even tell you what happened in it anymore.

I have to admit that I just looked at everything he's directed and I can say that since 1990 I have seen Unforgiven and Space Cowboys. He's directed 28 movies between 1990 and this one. I can also say that I didn't hate Space Cowboys - but it was sort of pablum - I couldn't even tell you what happened in it anymore. - Monkeypunk
Billion Dollar Baby and Mystic River are both worthwhile imo.

Painful memories but good post.
I didnt mind Keefe, but he had to go, they tuned him out. Things are going to be different under Chief. Take that to the bank.

Agreed, nothing wrong with Keefe, but they need a new voice in the locker room to unlock some of their potential. Or, this could backfire spectacularly.

there are so many poopty things that have happened to Leaf fans over the years. but winning that 2016 lottery was magnificent. what took Mats 980 games, AM might do in 625

Cool for sure...but ....
I'd rather him score 40 reg season goals and get 18 in the playoffs.....or even just a couple during an elimination game.
