one time they lost power and we didn't hear from them for days. that sucked.

uncle gerry is on oxygen now and you need power for that so i think losing power scared them straight about all of this "waiting out the hurricane" crap. in the hurricane a couple weeks ago a neighbor with power actually ran a long extension cord to their home for him!

why people move to florida when they get old is beyond me.

they can't move fast anymore and might need oxygen or some other life saving thing that uses electricity. also, once they get there they just realize the humidity is balls and they come home for months at a time. the whole thing seems specious to me.
