Tough to hire a GM that will spend short of the cap, be handcuffed by the owner and yet take the blame for it. - QuinnFan
Is he or isn't he allowed to make trades?
Who's decision was it to sign all these long term contracts with players who haven't won poop and only show up half the time?
The owner is 100% a problem at this point. The 5th winningest coach of all time mr buffalo wasn't even allowed to have his own assistants |

The “we need to play better” quote from this group every time we lose by getting completely out played is getting old.
I don’t think there will ever be elite compete in Tage or Tuch. Dahlin and Cozens show signs of getting it and can be salvaged with the right crew around them. Power still has time. Samuelsson is expendable.
So our easy targets to move now while they have value
Tage, Tuch, Samuelsson
That would easily land us the pieces we need if we bundle them with picks and prospects - lulags
I approve of this message
Lunaion had it correct last night, it is too early for a trade to occur now...that said, December is around the corner. |

He may need approval from Pegs for all we know. All I know is they aren't spending to the cap and no sane GM does this. I don't think even Adams is that foolish, he has restraints on.
That I think is on Adams, can't imagine he's not at the bargaining table.
I think it's 75% Adams, 25% Pegs. A good GM would be able to navigate this a lot better. Pegs is just pulling in the reins as the fans quit on the team. |

looks a bit better this morning than last night
hopefully it will continue to weaken a bit - homiedclown
Yes, was glad to see it tone down a bit, hopefully it doesn't gather strength...if it remains at current levels, I'm rooting for the Wind Sheer from the Cold Front to further knock it down another level or two.
We shall see.
The big question is why do these damn things time themselves for early, early am arrivals |

They expect drier air from behind that cold front to get sucked in and start wrapping around the core, this will help as well as the wind shear starting to rip the top off. Hopefully the cold front grabs it up and accelerates the forward speed as it moves across the state. |

Key questions are who replaces Greenway/Zucker, Clifton/Joker...do they cost more that $7m in Cap Space they have now?
Adams is looking 2 seasons down the road when JJP (+$5-$6m), Quinn (+$4-$6m), Byram (+$2m), Levi (+$1.5m), McLeod, (+$2m) and Johnson (+$1.5m) are all under new Contracts and the Skinner Buyout increases by $5m...which is +$21-$23m, roughly right.
There are offsets, coming from Greenway (-$3m), Clifton (-$3.3m), Zucker -$5m), and Joker -$3.1m)...so about ~$15m in relief, plus higher Cap of say $7m - $8m .... a total of -$23m in offsets.
Roughly right, they are "even" with the Contract increases less the Departures and Cap Increase...but minimally they need to replace Greenway/Zucker, and Joker/Clifton ... are those in the Pipeline or do they need to source in FA and how much do they cost?

So, for me, the track means everything given the tight center with short distance of high winds.
Also, on this Coast, ideally being on the North side of the eye is highly desireable, not so much on the South side due to Storm Surge intensity there. Now, depending on which projected path, the eye will come straight over us, or a bit more North ( so we will be on that South side).
Hate to say it, but pulling for it to go north of Tampa now, as it seems very unlikely it will move enough South to avoid the storm surge afterwords. |

Personally, after 13 years of losing, I could care less if we have negative 10M for next season. Whether those replacements are in house or via trade/FA, they should be spending to the cap each and every season. The fact they aren't makes most of this discussion superfluous as we won't be able to compete with teams that do.
On a brighter note, Greenway, Clifton and Joker are dime a dozen players. They can be easily replaced. It's keeping down the JJP, Quinn and Byram contracts that will be a chore...something I don't see Adams having in him. However, I have some faith there as I believe this will be Adams' last season at the helm. |

No, I’m north of there up on the Treasure Coast. Martin County/Jensen Beach area.
From things you’ve said, I think I’m pretty much straight across the state from you. |

Saleh gets let go from the New Jersey Jets. |

I recall Maurice talking about players learning the new system, saying that it takes a while before they finally stop reverting to their old habits when things aren’t going well. fwiw - Ratsreign
Learning an NHL system isn’t that hard. Essentially there are only 5-6 different nhl systems.
Even if it’s “new,” it’s relatively the same
Also our core players playing poor has nothing to do with the system.
Playing slow, poor passing, lazy plays that don’t work. That’s about effort
Tage tuch and cozens from 2 years ago played with speed. Carried the puck and so on |

Let's hope there's no dead-cat bounce on Monday.
One thing is for sure - Aaron Rogers is now fully in charge.
Needless to say, I hope it goes terribly. |

Lack of effort is the one unforgivable thing. But, maybe some of it is they are thinking instead of just doing as they learn (?) idk, time will tell. |

Yeah, I wouldn't mind sending him back to his cave with tears in his eyes. I didn't mind Saleh either, thought he was a decent coach. |

Not good for the Bills.
Interim head coaches in game 1 always Thanos for some reason and the team comes out firing. |

Devante Adams to NYJ?
Assume Saleh didn’t want him and Rodgers did.
Purely speculative by me though. |

This is year 4 of looking 2 seasons down the road. These are just excuses you make when you can't spend to the cap and you can't throw your owner under the bus.

Maybe. We shall see. I think we have the Jets, despite the lackluster showings from the previous 2 weeks. Allen will show up and the Jets can't stop him. Bernard will channel his inner Arthur Moats and break Rodgers. The sky will fall on NJ. |

It's kind of sad tbh, how far this franchise has fell. We were never that premier team, but during the Drury/Briere era, we were at least very competitive and fun to watch. I'll keep watching until I die, but hopefully the franchise can turn it around with a new GM. |
