My Curious George Syndrome is hitting hard today. I have two questions:

Are there manatees there? Can we eats them?

Personally, after 13 years of losing, I could care less if we have negative 10M for next season. Whether those replacements are in house or via trade/FA, they should be spending to the cap each and every season. The fact they aren't makes most of this discussion superfluous as we won't be able to compete with teams that do.

On a brighter note, Greenway, Clifton and Joker are dime a dozen players. They can be easily replaced. It's keeping down the JJP, Quinn and Byram contracts that will be a chore...something I don't see Adams having in him. However, I have some faith there as I believe this will be Adams' last season at the helm.

Only cautionary tale is that from Florida Panthers who went through the same organizational changes and suffered through a sub-par season until things really clicked. So, I am hoping Sabres can follow a similar path coming out of this reset.

Agreed on all. I know everyone has been banging the table for a 2 or 3 for 1 trade. We have the prospects to get it done. But I think you hit the nail on the head with the Florida Tkachuk trade. We need to acquire one big name player to help give us an identity. Tkachuk came in and immediately made the Panthers a female dog to play against. They're a little dirty, but can back it up when mayhem ensues.

We have no identity. It's just a group of hockey players. At this point, from Tage to Dahlin, I'm not sure there's a single player I count as being safe on this roster. Any and all players should be available for the right acquisition.

I didn't know the anti-manatee eating sentiment was so strong down there. I'll have to rearrange my next trip. I like cows. They are called sea cows. I must try one with BBQ sauce.

This is year 4 of looking 2 seasons down the road. These are just excuses you make when you can't spend to the cap and you can't throw your owner under the bus.

but they are Endangered and highly protected. FWC almost hauled a buddy of mine off just for swimming near a couple of them to get a good look. He had no ill intentions, but FWC said it was considered harassment.
