Yup since game 1 and 2. It’s our best players taking a dump last year and 2 games into this year.

Long way to go. But after 2 games. It looks like the same old poop from tage tuch and cozens

- Sabretooth9

Personally, thought Cozens has been our best player outside of Zucker. And UPL of course.

When we missed the playoffs by 1 point.

Tuch was over a point per game
Tage was at 94 points pottting 38 to 40 goals 2 years in a row

Cozens had a 63 point season I believe as well

Since then ….. they have sucked compared relative to the production they had 2 years ago.

Any team with Cap Space would find value in those guys...Cozens is young, any Coach would believe they can get him on the right side.
Tuch is a fast, proven RW...again any Coach would want what he can bring.
Power is a young Dman who is still developing and has potential to be a #1.

They could garner a fair return.

- IonSabres

I would think Byram has higher value than Cozens, at this moment.

Great line from a Washington Post article on how bad the Jets are going to be with Rogers in charge:

"Even without Rodgers, the Jets are the kind of lunkheaded operation that would get rid of a coach six days before playing the Buffalo Bills for first place in the AFC East."

OK, but what Value would they bring back. Is it enough to make a difference and do you have to add on top of that.
- Buff36

Probably getting back similar value (no one is trading a top line player unless he has warts). For instance would the Red Wings ever consider trading Larkin (probably only for a really elite player but not for a package of lesser pieces).

So we are trading our under performing players to a team that has a player that is not working out in their eyes (maybe Zegras) with the hope that a change in scenery for that player makes a big impact (i.e., kind of like when Sabres traded Gratton for Danny).

That would only be justifiable if Aaron Rodgers was 32 year old and they really believed this guy was holding back his career. Rodgers is in his 40's and his career might end on any snap he takes. Such a joke.

Did everything go wrong leading up to the 2015 draft, when the team knew they were picking 2nd?

We all tall about needing at least 1 elite Center to compete.

The Sabres being aggressive ruined a chance to draft Eichel and Matthews in back to back seasons.

Is that where it all went wrong?

Probably starts with the 2014 draft, hindsight would be to draft Leon and then Eichel the following year. I never liked the E. Kane trade but was happy with the O'Reilly trade (Aves would have preferred Myers and we could have kept Z for our defense).

Leon was not on their radar

skunk, bennet and ekblad were the only 3 on their radar

dal colle was probably 4th on their board

Benson and Peterka are both full participants in practice and are likely to play.

So apparently, we won't be icing Bryson as a 4LW, for those of you who were looking to see that unfold.

They had a chance at all three if they don't go super aggressive after the 2015 season, but minimally they could've had Eichel, Matthews and Reinhart.

It's revisionist history, but it shows how easily and quickly things can go wrong.
