Power and Clifton playing well to start the year is nice.

They played a good 2 periods, could have easily been 4 or 5-0 going into the 3rd, DK was on. Hard to make trades when no one wants to come here, Adams hasn't made it a place to be.

Agreed with the start, we had to have a real high deserve to win-o-meter percentile.

That being said, half the league don't have NMCs or are RFAs, which we would hold their rights. No one wanting to come here is a pretty fragile excuse. It's why that was always a dumb buzz phrase. Most players would prefer to play for original 6 teams or SC contenders. Most of the league isn't included in that classification and they do fine. Go get players. If they don't want to be here that bad, they can quit hockey like Berglund or (most likely) shut up and play.

Goaltending has been solid all 3 games. Shouldn't blame them.

Who starts Saturday is an interesting call. I'd say UPL.

Hate to say it but Quinn has probably been our worst player this year, but Sammy is a close second.

I wonder if they keep going back and forth, between Levi and UPL, until someone steals a game. UPL did fine yesterday, not his fault. You just hope that you can get one more save there is all.

Why the heck he was made an A is a real head scratcher. Same with Cozens. Cozens more deserving but stick with Dahlin and Tuch and then Tage or someone else.

I'll agree that UPL has not looked fantastic but the team has only scored one goal per game, so that seems like the bigger problem to me. Even with the best goalie in the league, how many games can a team expect to win when they only score one goal per game?

But I do believe Kopitar showed the Sabres what they are missing, an elite center that can win games for their team.
