I think the only problem with the contract is the sample size. Swayman isn't exactly a vet. But if he keeps up his play at the same level throughout most of his contract, I think he will actually be considered a bargain down the line. The days of goalies making 25% of what forwards make are done.

1) opted for 1 year of arbitration instead of 2
2) traded Ulmark before he had things settled with Swayman

Not the best contract out there, but certainly not the worst.
