Igor is one of if not the best goaltender in the league. But, truth be told, Drury put together a very formidable roster in a rebuild. It’s also not luck that the Rangers have gone from Richter, to Lundqvist, to Shesterkin. Gotta give credit - kindlyrick
Rangers know goalies. Igor is still a huge part of the success. The Rangers struggle 5 on 5. They showed that during the outdoor Islanders game. Special teams won that game. |

Unpopular opinion, but I’ve always like reading Larry Brooks articles. Whether I agree or not the articles are well written and very opinionated. I kinda like that - kindlyrick
I think more often than not, Larry has been fair about the Islanders. Larry seems to respect Lou, but he has rightly called out Lou's roster work with the Islanders.

I think he respects Lou and Roy. I also think Lou did a good job with the LW on the first and second line. Larry is a Ranger fan, and Duclair was a Ranger pick. I’d imagine he’s a fan of Duke. Also the Tysplakov kid has noticeably stood out. Lou added a 1LW and 2LW for nothing given…..that’s a fair amount of pts not here last year. |

Ek picks the islanders to finish last in the metro. I suddenly like our teams chances now.

Agreed. Hence he rejected 88 million dollars lol. Just typing that is hard. - kindlyrick
Best part of the preseason for me so far. |

I believe that’s why most Ranger fans hate his guts. |

Hopefully the moves work out. Roy was an influence with Duclair. We have to be fair though. Lou’s overall roster work has not been good. It’s not just Islanders fans saying this. Hockey people have had the same comments. |

Well hell…
Guess I’m gonna have to put some coin on an Isles Cup win. |

Certainly looks that way
But by all accounts Ryan Smith has done an unbelievable job for the team so far and I have no doubt he'll continue to do so. Glad for that team that they got out of that dumpster fire in Arizona. |

He also had 17 PIMs
Just by looking at the box score, it looks like that game got chippy. Apparently he hit someone and made contact to the head and got tossed |

I love it. Islanders need more prospects that bring the passion.

Yeah, when I saw how some of the seats were angled, I had a Barclays flash back of watching the play go past me while my seat had me positioned to look down ice the other way. Had to be an owl to follow the play. |

Was just in Vegas, put Isles to make the playoffs, was even money.
And put money on Tsyplakov to win the Calder +6000. Boom!
Go Isles! |
