I attempted to behave with my dinner, kept it simple, just butterfly pork chops done with thyme and pepper but I had to cook 9 of those since I was lazy when I put them in the freezer after purchasing and didnโ€™t separate them lol, a mushroom rice, some green beans, and my homemade chick pea salad.

Apparently me behaving worked out to 3 pork chops, large sides of rice and beans, and about 2 and half helpings of the salad. The toilet and I are close this morning, even my cat waited by the door at one point lol.

Go Leafs Go

Iโ€™m now craving burgers after reading your post tho.

I ate 11 cheeseburgers yesterday.

9 of them were sliders, but still. I learned my lesson. I'll do it again.

I like that Stolarz. I picked him up in fantasy hockey last year, and I won the championship. So did the Panthers. Coincidence? I don't think so. I think it's something more.

Still alive. No major damage to the house or property.

Even during the worst of the storm, I checked the scoreboard to be disappointed in the traditional Leafy way.

Tampa dodged the surge, but took a ton wind damage and flash flooding from record torrential rains.

Power is still out (might be for days), but cell towers are still working.

I'll be scarce while cleanup is going on. The yard and garden is a wreck.

He sure looks like he went down pretty easily on the 2 penalties I saw on the highlights at least to me with my cool blue tinted glasses.

Perhaps a different view with the Rouge ones.

I know it sucksโ€ฆ I do thankfully live in a house thatโ€™s set back from the road further than my neighbours. So we have a covered front porch that only has a minor exposure to the North. Iโ€™ve BBQโ€™d during winter before there but unless itโ€™s something quick like a steak Iโ€™m no big fan of cooking outside in the winter.

And there was frost this morning, had to scrape the back window of my gfโ€™s car before she headed off to work today

No, it's still available to use when winter comes too.

But... it's not the same.

Reading this on Reddit, so grain of salt, but:

Leafs were shutout for first time since November 20, 2021.

Streak of 227 regular season games and 252 regular season and playoffs.

I get it.

But I still like it better when I'm in shorts, flipflops and holding a cold beer in my hand while I grill.

It's sad that BBQ season is over, but slow cooker season is coming.

Chili, Beef Bourguignon, Braised short ribs, pulled chicken

Just gotta take advantage

Have you seen this new internet thing?

Putting pickles in Dr. Pepper?

I have to say, I'm curious.

All this BBQ talk and the season ending is sad but true.

I may invest in the insulated cover for my pellet smokers this year so smoking in the dead of winter is easier. Past practice has been take the temp you want to smoke at and add anywhere from 25 to 75 degrees to offset the cold + add time because the old "when your peekin', your leakin'" saying when it comes to smokers is so so true when it's cold & you lose so much heat so quickly.

Give? There is no give, there is only receive.

"Every 21 years Pittsburgh shall receive a franchise player." So it is unwritten.

My pellet smoker has 2 built-in thermometers, and it's bluetooth so you can watch the temps on your phone.

Life changing.
