I’m blown away Frost wasn’t in Torts’ first 3 shooters in the shootout. Jesus! |

All I will say is Michkov started slow, but he seemed to get a bit more comfortable.
The Flyers really need to figure out how to play teams that cycle. FAST. |

I really liked the pair of Couturier and Foerster killing penalties in the pre season. I have no idea how Tippett ended up on the PK.
I think I like Michkov best with Frost.
I thought this was Luchanko’s second best game after the pre season capitals game, even with a couple errors. I think he should be killing penalties and doesn’t deserve the PP time just yet.
Why Frost wasn’t in the first 3 shootout attempts is crazy to me.
I actually have concerns with Zamula. I thought he’d start with a good shift and than follow up a bad turnover. Come back with a good shift. Come back with a turnover. He just seemed uneven to me. I doubt he ends the season on the PP.
Errson looked pretty great! |

I dont have any issues with the Shootout lineup. All personal preference. Coots will always be one of the 1st 3. No reason why you shouldnt like Kone, Mich and Foerster out there as well
If Torts starts putting guys like Poehling, Hathaway, Cates or really any of our D in Shootout before Frost, then we got a problem. Wasnt one of the NHL\AHL Tweeners really good at the Shootout? Our new 13th FWD when Deslaurier is gone

Yes he did. Hes looked great all preseason as well. Solid road win. Hope we can get some points in Calgary because Sam will need to stand on his head in Edmonton |

I fell asleep after the first. From the later highlights it looked like MM and Luchanko played pretty well in their debut even though they didn’t get on the scoreboard. I agree with bills take on ers. I think he can provide us solid goaltending this year but we can ride him into the ground. 50 games is fine but we desperately need feds or maybe kolosov to show they can be a solid #2 and take the other part of the load. Let’s see how feds makes out tonight. Lgf!!!

A win is a win but they got significantly outplayed at 5 on 5. Ersson really won the game for them

Same issues as before. Against contenders they have to hold on and expect great goaltending as they can’t dictate the play. |

I thought they played a pretty good road game…couple of nervous give aways. Ersson was great. Considering had 2 young rookies in line up, and the Nuck’s being a pretty good team I’m glad my lack of sleep was rewarded.
I thought Luchanko got better as game went on, but you can’t hide the truth…he’s a kid just turned 18.
Michkov made 4 or 5 little plays that just make you shake your head (in a good way).
The 3rd pairing or 2nd or whatever of Risto and Zamula got through some rough shifts after some self inflicted mistakes, but over all I thought D played well. I will say this about Johnson back there….I wish we had that guy 10 years ago. |

Sloppy game all around by the Flyers, especially at their own blueline. |

Yeah. I try to watch him Very closely and what strikes me is he’s got quick hands and seems to be thinking the game a couple seconds ahead. Quick passes that create for teammates and him. We’ve been missing that. Glad to hear Luchanko didn’t seem lost out there and almost potted one

What made it a pretty good road game was winning and the play of Ersson. Otherwise, much to be desired. I can't tell if that is praise or criticism of Johnson. |

Really? Besides the SO winner I thought he was not playing well. Got killed at the faceoff dot again, and even when he did win an o-zone draw on the PP in the 3rd he took a dumb penalty nullifying the PP. As I mentioned I want Frost on the PP, but he has got to greatly improve his faceoffs, otherwise he's useless watching Drysdale chase the puck down the ice which I saw a lot of in this game. Couts was also awful on faceoffs. |

Johnson played a really solid game considering he was like a pickup truck on the Talladega speedway. He and Risto were lights on the PK especially. Risto BTW had a monster game last night for the Flyers. |

Luchanko was fine last night, not out of place. But got a couple of lessons also. On the Canuck's 2nd goal Luchanko was on his guy but took too wide of a turn back towards his own net in coverage and that second was the difference between breaking up a tip in and watching a tip in go into his net. He also made a drop pass in the o-zone and made the mistake of looking back at the puck and got absolutely hammered by Saucy. So these are lessons he will learn, but overall I thought he looked like he belonged. |

Frost was 10-11 on faceoffs for 48%. Percentage on offensive draws needs to come up but overall, he did not get killed at the faceoff dot. He was 3-5 on the PP

Johnson was brutally bad overall last night. Ristolainen did not have a monster game for the Flyers. You crack me up. |
