Serves you right for trying to ride the Oilers.

Edmonton is currently 32nd in the league.
Utah is number 1.

Well I couldn’t pass on McD 1oa.
Petey 21oa. Makar/Hughes gone already.
Bouchard 22nd
D’s Hronek Dobson Harley
F’s Marner Scheifele RNH Debrusk Thompson Rust Guenther Batherson
G’s Montembeault Mrazek

PP points was my aim & good value on other picks. Vasi in goal but hurricane ppd his last game. Still can win the week if the Oil wake up tomorrow.

Crap happens lol

Jim Benning was on some kind of level of stupid all to himself.

Battle of Alberta today. Setting up to be a good one. Love to see the oil go 0-3. Going to enjoy watching as I cook my 4-rib Prime Rib roast. Going to try that reverse BBQ method. Happy Thanksgiving to all!

I am not stupid enough to follow most social media sites. My comm3nt about it starting in February had nothing to do with losing the 1st 2 games of this season, if I have to explain what I meant, then I don't know what too say.

Good grief, Jim Benning was both the worst and best thing that's happened to the Canucks in a very long time. Good because he was so bad at his job he lost a lot and gave the Canucks good draft positions, and bad because he botched so many things up along the way. It's amazing Allvin has been able to somewhat clean up his mess in such short order.

There's no guarantee the Canucks would've taken Guenther but the kid is just an absolute sniper. He scored 26 goals, 59 points, in 58 WHL games as a 16 year old. Probably should've went 3rd overall, he's better than Mason McTavish.

In the history of the NHL, I think only Mike Milbury was worse.

lol Oilers D looks pretty sad losing Ceci Desharnais and Broberg. Could be a rough start again and even the Canucks might not win in regulation until Oct 22 when we play the BlackHawks. Baby Backs going in the slow cooker and Tortiere Pie today plus maybe a beer or two and some wine lol Happy Thx Giving ALL!!

Benning gave him a run for his money, though.

Keenan was the GM in Vancouver for 5 minutes, he shouldn't even be in the list, however, Benning had eight years of misstep after misstep. That article was actually written back in 2021 before the OEL trade took place. His one greatest accomplishment, in my opinion, is the JT Miller trade. By far!!!

Funny article. It's a little old and didn't account for Benning's OEL trade, which might be one of the worst trades in canuck history. Not only did it encumber the club's salary cap, lost the team good draft positions, and did not improve the on-ice product, it was a game changer for the coyotes; General manager Bill Armstrong was quoted saying that this trade was ultimately the turning point in the Coyotes’ rebuild.

Another Benning comment in the article I found humorous was "Not to mention, future stars like Nils Hoglander, Vasily Podkolzin, and Jack Rathbone are just waiting in the wings."

Vasily Podkolzin and Jack Rathbone as "future stars" That's a bit of a stretch.

33% in that one sentence is still far better than the percentage of the rest of his too-long tenure

Yup, but even calling Hogs a star is a stretch.

Speaking of questionable draft picks, what happened to Hunter Shinkaruk? Drafted in 1st round with Horvat, so much potential, but now plays in UK Elite League? WTF? At least Hunter will always be remembered in canuck lore by being involved in the trade that created this beauty of a meme...

Be careful what you wish for… hawks are improved and have tons of great young prospects coming up. Hawks will win another cup before the canucks
