Hoping to see A Boquist do well in Florida. Start of season he looked to be an odd man out but was in lineup last game due to an injury on their blueline. Boquist brother is on the team and I want to believe A Boqvist will earn a job. Wish he could come on even a mini version of the Forsling transformation and not another L Carlsson |

Maybe there is room for small puckmoving defenseman. Both Seamus Casey and Lane Hudson with excellent starts this year. |

Guess Kaiser isn't so small after all. Used his feet to take away space and then dumped him on his ass. - Elbows15
Kaiser battles as hard as any of them, Allan looked decent a well in his first game. With EDM, Arty, Rinzel, and KK coming, they have a good problem on their hands. |

Do you give a Soderblom one more start as a reward before he goes back to Rockford, barring injury probably forever? |

3 games in and i have to say from what i see Martinez and Brodie are a huge upgrade over the scrubs we had here. Slots Murphy properly and if Kaiser continues to play as well as he's playing our defense is pretty good, considering we have forwards that know how to play defense now.
I still think they need to work on possession and passing but the good defense is nice to see. |

Have to figure there is no room to draft another dman in ‘25 with each of those you listed likely forcing their way into a genuine opportunity to take someone else job. Oh there will be a couple veterans still but they may be in and out of lineup if these kids progress to the point of looking pretty good in NHL trial
You do not break in a lot of young dmen at same time but you could stagger all of them over a two-three year period. EDM and Allen would start as third pair; Rinzel probably should go to AHL for a year but I peg him as second pair level. He is no better unless I see more potential as he improves in collegiate and as a pro. He has come a long way so you have to determine if his potential could be for an even higher slot
Arty ideally would ascend one day to first pair Perhaps KK would be a solid second pair
KD can select a forward in ‘25 in top ten. If I were in KD’s role I entertain trading even one of our top prospects with our own # 1 to get a premiere tier one forward
Because Bedard needs someone And hopefully Nazar and other forward prospects fill in nicely
A nice problem may be how to put Kaiser Allen and EDM in lineup when you already have Vlasic, Arty, Kk + Rinzel on the way. Of course this means all the veterans are gone are talking 2027 or 2028? |

I don't know J just throwing this out there, if there's a Doughty or Makar you gotta draft them, i imagine if you had an embarrassment of riches what would a team give up to trade for Vlasic, i imagine a lot.

Who is your back up if Soda goes to AHL and Boivert is obviously not in shape let alone healthy? Comesso is any better than Soda? Not right now. Let Comesso play another season AHL. Unless Soda performs poorly, let him back up until Boisvert is ready
Also maybe u don’t want to answer the Eklund rumor how Kings would pay top dollar for Shesterkin. I cannot imagine how NYR could get any return which would make them better. The NYR go farther in playoffs with their stud in goal. |

That rumor by Eklunf is total bullpoop
My comment on Sodablom is provided Mrazek and Broussart stay injury free.. both on 2 year contracts, they aren’t going anywhere |

A lot of guesswork right now on how the ‘25 draft turns as well as how several of our collegiate prospects improve. Wiz early conjecture has us drafting a forward assumption we finish with a top ten pick but also said we would grab a goaltender at some point |

And is Matthew Schaefer that guy? I’ve seen him a few times and he may very well may be better than any defenseman currently in the Hawk’s system

This staff is all about earning your time to play, if it were me I'd give him one more game even when he was getting shell shocked in preseason he played calm and positionally sound.

If he's my best available i draft him. I always feel if you don't draft best available you make the teams behind you better. |

That is why you draft best available, keep collecting darts and trade from strength. |

I like the way you think, LA. Yea man, why not give Soderblom another start assuming Broisset is still on IR. ..... This dude has done the equivalent of walking across North America, totally transforming his game.
And, you just never know about a goalie pipeline. For sure they're looking at Commesso and then Gajan to man the crease but man, that's a long ways away... Not for a second did I ever think Soderblom was an NHL option but this guy is changing my mind. Those redirects he tracked and saved are basically impossible for a human to react to and then STOP, then be balanced for a rebound!

The Rolling Stones sing “You can’t always get what you want.”
The Bears got what they want in C Williams
The Blackhawks got what they want in Bedard
The Blackhawks may not draft the scoring forward they want if they see a better player available irregardless of position
But you can celebrate Blackhawks, Icehogs and Bears victories with a cold one, even a good tasting Heineken 00 if you need a break after alcohol consumption last night |

What Sheafer did as a 17 yr old in the OHL was really impressive. Kid looks like a player for sure... You've seen him live? .....

You know if we don't play in our own end all night and look like a hockey team that can compete most nights, i take back what i said about Reichel he can just sit there and wait.
After the sh itty 1st period against the Yotes this team has played really good hockey for 159 minutes. |

Absolutely....my concern is that Chicago doesn't do Offense well always been Defense and I hope they have the right people in place to continue to move forward getting better each time out |
