If I'm doing the math correctly, you just have to chug a drink faster than every 19 spins of the roulette wheel.

And that's only if your bet is the same price as a drink.

Talking to anyone who's worked as a dealer in a casino at some point will put you off of gambling. They have (frank)ed up stories for days.

On this topic, the movie Owning Mahoney is a really good movie about gambling and is based on a Canadian true story.

It's truly fascinating to watch folks in the casino. Saw an Indigenous fella walk in, drop hundreds on roulette, lost. Dropped a few hundred more, lost. Walked out down big. I don't think the guy was well off at all, just blew a large chunk of his month's income.

Last time I went into a Casino, I went with my buddies and they split off for the slots. I wanted to play poker, so I went to the cheap table of $50 entry.

All of the (frank)ers tried to bully me off the table the entire time, I won two hands, but had to fold out and take my money because they put me all in every other hand. Such a poopty experience. Would rather play with the lads for whom farts on whoms face.

I think us here in North America can use sports as an escape too much already, I have been there time to time.

Too much of anything is a bad thing, add the sports gambling into it and the people already addicted to sports make it even worse.

My preferred game is just fantasy sports. Not enough money to hurt to buy in for the season, but enough to make the payout interesting. Makes sports more interesting throughout the season and get me watching non-home teams. Managing a roster is more fun than letting a bet ride on a game.

I had two friends who were the cheapest individuals on earth.

One of the guys' mother owned a travel agency, so they used to go on cruises for dirt cheap.

They would pool their money and hit the casino - one would bet red and one would bet black at the roulette wheel.

Why? To get complimentary drinks.

Wandered in to a casino in Nassau many years ago and sat down at a Black Jack table. Told my wife I wanted to play for half an hour she decided to explore the hotel.

After the half hour I was feeling pretty good about having won $60 until my wife came back and told me she had found the jewelry store

I went to Casino Niagara once, put whatever the cost of parking was on black, hit it, doubled my money, got my parking comped, and cashed out. Went to see the falls

I went to Vegas in 2018 with some high school buddies - to put some context on it we are in very different tax brackets. One of them sold a company for a few million in the early 2000s and has since gone on to other CTO roles and whatnot - and another is an EVP at a bank. I'm doing fine, but my annual income is at best 20% of those guys. So we head down and head out to eat and whatnot and their choices exhaust my expected funds pretty quickly.

Day 3 we're out at the $5 tables and one of my friends had to leave so I sat in for him. He'd started at $100, was down to about . . . maybe $30? Anyway, I got lucky and took his $30 up to about $250 or something. That night we went back grabbed a seat and the hands me his $250 and says, "You won it. It's yours," and we all play . . . and I poop you not - it had to be 20 minutes, maybe less - we were wiped out. The dealer just kept landing blackjack after blackjack.

While most train with Gary Roberts in the summer, Woll trains with Lupul and Connolly on the white, glass sands of Robidas Island.

Too hard?

Harder than every other uninjured goalie/player in the NHL? So much harder that his body breaks easier from working so hard?

Hmmmm...

If you overexert yourself, you're more prone to injury, that's all that was suggested

Glad Marty Fatdeur never worked out and was able to play 70 games a season standing on his pencil neck thin legs. Hell, Eddie the Drunk Eagle played 60 games and half of them he was off in a bar between periods.
