Two not very good teams. Is what it is. But it sure was fun. - Victoro311
Add in the Sabres are playing with jet lag. The Pens are in the middle of ten games in seventeen days stretch.
Reminds me of how important Brian Dumoulin was to this team.

In all seriousness congrats to Geno, but also the team needs to stay on the bench. This isn’t little league. |

I did find that a bit odd to be honest. I don't recall ever seeing that for any other player hitting a milestone. I always thought if your whole bench goes on to the ice there's penalties handed out. |

Not pretty but fun and it is important to get these wins in the early going. Geno and Sid have to be the first players ever to assist on each others 500th goals. I've been hard on Geno at times but with his new contract he is a great value.
Jarry... lets just take a look around the league at the worst contracts and we will find where he is likely to end up next.
Edmonton for Kane, maybe Dubas gets extra spicy and looks at Nurse.
Montreal for Anderson.
Colorado for Lehkonen or even just a bad for smaller contract bad Georgiev trade.
Cant think of many options. I said before the season that I would just bury him in the minors and make him see what riding the bus is like again. It wont do much for cap space or retaining his value but I dont know that he has much of either and maybe he gets his game back a bit playing against lesser competition.

I would trade Jarry for Kane, no hesitation. There's a chance Kane doesnt even play this season. If that were the case you can just LTIR his cap 5.1 mill cap hit. Chance he could be good to play really late in season or playoffs as well. If that were the case, and the Pens are a playoff team, they could pull a Stone or Kuch maneuver. He could come back earlier in 2025 and if that were the case then you're adding very physical forward with snarl and finishing touch to the lineup somewhere.
Can you trade for an injured player?
If Kane were to come off LTIR today the Oilers would be like 4 mill over the cap. So, they would have to shed around 4.5 mill today to take on Jarry even if it was Kane going the other way.
This trade probably never happens. |

Its pretty crazy that Geno already has 1/6th of his total production from all 82 games last season, through only 5 games so far this season haha |

Yes congratulations to Geno. He's been talking about 500 for years.
There's been a lot of back and forth in if the Pens should have kept the stars. Nights like tonight is why I wanted to see them stay. I don't know if we'll be in the playoff race by the end of the season, but games like tonight make the season worth it and are ones I'll treasure forever. - Tojo.
The fact that Sid was the lone assist on Geno's 500th after Geno was the lone assist on Sid's 500th is (frank)ing awesome.
I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

Happens more often than not on important milestones.
Happened for Sid's 500th, Stammers 500th, Ovi's 500th and 700th,

PP and depth scoring came up big today.
2 PP goals, a third that was basically a PP just a few seconds late, and one with the goalie pulled. It's early, but that part has been encouraging.
Two more big goals from the bottom six. I don't think either is a top six wing, but right now I look at DOC, I look at Pulj, and I look at Beau and I'm not sure how Beau is the one on Sid's line.
Five GA at 5v5. A decent bit was on Jarry, but a lot was on the defensive effort too. - Tojo.

Graves was fantastic last night haha Pens best d-man by a long shot....through the first 5 games he's been a bit of a rollercoaster to watch...there's been times Ive thought to myself "wow was that actually Graves that made that play" and then there's been other times Ive wanted to punt him into the sun hahah
The guy had his bell rung bad last season and then missed a fvck load of time, hadnt played much for long time when camp opened this off season. If he can be solid like last night I can digest that cap hit on a 3rd pairing much easier haha

Oh, I agree. I'm not saying I want to get him at all, but I could see Dubas/FSG considering it.
Nurse will be paid less than his cap hit for the next 3 years and Edmonton would potentially juice a deal to move his contract (even though they love him). Nurse is old, but not so old that he completely doesnt fit the future.
I think a Graves & Jarry for Nurse would be something worth considering since we have Blomqvist and Ned to hold down the crease. Edmonton sells out their D so while I dont think Nurse would come here and be worth his salary, its entirely possible he could be a good 2LD to pair with Karlsson or Letang. I think a definite upgrade over Graves.
There should be way better options than this but I wouldn't completely count out something way off the board. |

Great stock until China decides its time... - MacPatty
TSMC has built plants in Japan and Singapore. They are building three in Phoenix, with the first one set to begin production soon. Also, they are building a new plant in Berlin.
