Did I mention that I hate OT.

Bummer. I thought they had the better chances tonight.

Maybe, but they couldn't get it done.

There are a lot of games left.

We do not see many 0-0 games going into OT. Rather see 5 on 5 for 10 minutes then it's a tie if no winner.

Yup. Had a nagging feeling it was going to slip away when they didn't bury that one late in the third that was sitting right there on the doorstep.

Well....Sorokin looks great.

They should have easily won that game, they had 3 or 4 grade-A scoring chances that they couldn't finish. Horvat's missed empty net from the Barzal pass chief among them.

Dogpoop night for NY sports all around

Very rough NY night chief. Sorkin is playing very well. Did not see a lot of the last few games. How is the defense playing?

NHL tried something different. Now it's time to go back to basics.

I only caught about half of last night's game. I was busy watching the Yankees comeback and subsequent collapse. Three GA in the last two games is pretty solid though, they just can't score.

I was more worried about the defense than the offense coming into the season. The Yankees should still be in good shape. I would hate to lose to the Dodgers, but it's been a good year for the Mets after the lousy start.

I'll give it some time before I'm fully worried about the offense, but it's been pretty up and down through the first four games. 4 goals, 0 goals, 6 goals, 0 goals is a pretty wacky roller coaster ride.

Not worried about the Yankees yet, but that was brutal last night after they took the lead. Hard to criticize Weaver too much because he's been great, but that was a tough one to lose. They let a 3-0 stranglehold on the series slip right through their fingers, twice with two outs.

3rd and 4th lines will be a challenge in terms of adding to the offence.

I have to think Weaver is a little tired. I'm not sure if he was needed for game 2?

Maybe not, but unless you're up a poopload of runs I have no problem using him in the playoffs. He throws an inning in most games, he should be able to handle the workload. Not concerned unless they lose tonight.

I can understand the move by Boone. I feel bad for the heat Boone always takes. He may not be an all time great manager, but Cashman with all the payroll has given him a flawed team.
