This is where you lose all credibility you might have had. The shot took place from the slot on a one timer- not a "tap in" beside the net. So you're misleading to undermine the skill on the play that occurred. Evidence is below to further reinforce the reality.

That's why they have to wait until the deadline, when they have built up a little cap room. Can't be an Ekholm though, not without roster movement, has to just be a rental contract (ideally with retention).

Either way would be interesting to see how it's managed. It needs to be top 4 dman and even rentals won't be cheap. They've looked better the past few games but over the long haul that D is gonna be an issue.
