Cant be giving up 3 soft goals a game. Might as well just rotate backup goalies like last season and see if anyone can play. If Ersson ever gets hurt, yikes.
- Trox88

This is back to back poor games. This is why there’s an AHL. He may get another shot before that happens…but they can’t afford sub par goaltending.

I’ll take the awful season if it lands a cornerstone center or defenseman

I can’t understand not dressing Andre in this game Seattle is a fast team, but they’re not a big team and I think Andre would match up very well against them

Agreed. It was said a lot his first game of the year.

He seems to handle downlow well, but when it goes upstairs he looks like a midget.

- Glak18

If you watch. He doesn’t comes set with his feet and stand his ground. When the shot is coming, he’s backing into his net. Needs to be more aggressive.

Why bring him across the country just to sit him?

I think kolosov is going to get his chance sooner rather than later.

Fedotov may get sent to the AHL to play more. Not sure sitting him playing once a week is going to help him work on his issues. Sits deep in the net and any type of traffic in front him, he just isn't tracking the puck at all.

I thought the hit against Michkov should’ve been a five minute boarding penalty but the hit against TK I thought it was a clean hit nonetheless some flyer should’ve gone over and punched Taney right in the head.

It’s not his position in the crease, it’s his stance. With his size he can cheat more with an upright stance and sit back further to push over if needed, but he bends lower like he’s 6’.

A lot of pucks are going through him….the ones that hit him he is giving up bad rebounds….not a very solid start to the year.

I wonder if he's just one of those type of players that find it difficult to adjust to the smaller rink. Maybe hes just best suited for the larger, european size rinks. Although the way hes playing now doesnt look like he's ever been a good goalie to begin with.

Possible,, they can be patient, but it will probably involve time at LV. He sure looks like he needs to play a lot if he wants to make it.

Totally agree! He isn't an NHL goalie at this time and no one will take him off waivers with that contract. Bring up the other guy. At least his game is more positionally sound. This is a disgrace. Oh, and send Drysdale down with him. I don't friggin care if someone takes him off waivers. He sucks too!!!

What stupidity. So they play feds so that they don’t have to overwork sam. Feds plays and they have to bring sam in anyway. What a bad coaching decision.

Yeah, this is bad. Torts needs to let Fedotov just get shelled.

It’s also his positioning. While he’s big he plays too far back in the crease and as I mentioned he backs up as the shot comes. Did it on the second goal.

I'm so sick of the goalie is tired crap!! In the old days goalies played 60-65 games and didn't blink an eye. Everyone is so soft these days! Ersson absolutely should have started in this game.

Well. That’s rough too but it should never have gotten to this. Start Sam. It’s early in the season and he can handle it

I think we can agree he has a lot of work to do…more work than what his paycheck suggests.

Oh for sure. IMO. He needs some significant ahl time. If you think about it, if hart wasn’t staring at 25 to life, he’d likely be in the a learning the craft.
