What are you talking about?
If you're claiming that I'm wrong about something, it is your responsibility to provide facts to support that. There are no instances where I state that it is your responsibility or anyone else's to prove that I'm right. People want to challenge without having the facts. I'm not going to do the work for them.
An example is when you tried to claim that Brink didn't play well last year due to being outscored by Poehling. Showing that you had zero understanding of ice time and scoring rate. - MJL
So youve never told people to look up the stats because their widely available instead of providing them youself to prove a point?
This was a one time response. Im not responding to you again troll

The downturn began when Walker was traded and Seeler went out. Then Hart left the team. Sub-par NHL goaltending and a defense that does not move the puck well results in losses. Ersson has been fine as the starter.
Fedotov is not an NHL goalie at this point. Flyers defense is way worse than before the collapse happened last year. - mickel25
I do think Nick Seeler might improve the team defensively but only slightly. In fact I’d go…
York-Sanheim
Seeler-Ristolainen
Zamula-Drysdale
The Flyers miss Walker. Seeler and Walker were easily our best pair. It doesn’t matter how people feel about Carter Hart. You only need two good NHL goalies to take half the load off one another.
I think the forward position is likely to figure itself out ahead of the back end. Especially when Torts is holding back a guy like Andrae. |

Sure I have. It is not my responsibility to do research for others. If they want to challenge my opinion, it is their responsibility. Not mine. How is that putting the responsibility on others to prove I'm right? As usual, you have failed logically.
Clearly there is only one person trolling and that is you. I don't care if you respond to me. |

Ok, then what do the Flyers do to address the obvious hole they have at center? - jd250

I think he's right on with his evaluation of Hart. The Flyers consistently overrate and overhype their own players. Hart was a good goalie, but not the superstar that the Flyers seemed to believe he was. They would have signed him to some ridiculous contract that would have undoubtedly backfired. - Dkos
It's hard to say that, since hart has started his defense in front of him was middle of the pack at best |

We can deal in the reality and the facts or we can live in the invisible world of intangibles. Every goalie deals with poor defense and breakdowns in games. You're incorrect that those aspects are not tracked in stats. They absolutely are. There are stats for goaltenders that take that into account. You can have all the beliefs you want and I do think a team could win with Hart. Teams have won with average goaltending in the past. The reality is that Hart was nothing special as a goalie, was average at best and it is a good thing that the situation prevented the Flyers from re-signing him. It was best for the Flyers to move on and I don't think they would've of if the legal issues weren't there. - MJL
Hart could always be counted on to let an iffy goal in per game, even when he was playing well. When he wasn't playing well... yikes. For a guy with average size and average-ish athleticism and a mediocre glove he had to be 110% dialed in mentally and he often... wasn't. |

Me thinks expectations are too high. This is a young team that needs a lot more in terms of elite talent. Michkov is the only elite talent right now and he’s a mere 19 years old. They are extremely weak at center, and their defense is not very good defensively.
They need to hit on their draft picks and it’s looking like they’ll have a high one. |

you meet the criteria for the definition of a troll cliff. yu are such an ignoramus.
also do intangibles exist? yes or no? |

More trolling. I'm perfectly content with you continuing to embarrass yourself. Well done.
The correct hypothetical is a reply to that is. I disagree that you're a skilled hockey player and I don't have to provide any factual evidence to support my disagreement.
You want to give opinions without backing them up and then require someone else to have to provide facts and hold them to a different standard then everyone else is held to. All due to whining like a little girl because someone has repeatedly proven you to be uninformed.
Whether you reply directly or indirectly. It's still replying. - MJL
yes it is cliff. good to know. |

Oh and Coots unfortunately looks well past his prime and has a horrible contract that’s not moveable. They are anchored on defense by almost literal anchor contracts in Risto and frankly Sanheim is not very good at helping keep the puck out of the net.
Eeeeetz noo good |

I agree. The team is what it is. They are going no where. Fans are so starved. Any moves made for now, while it may improve them short term. Will only hurt them long term.

I like you brought up the size vs athleticism part.
I liked Hart, thought he was a quality tender.
Bang on though that for kind of a smaller frame goalie, he wasn’t the most athletic guy either. We never got to see it, but I had a fear that the above combo would screw him come playoff time - when teams would scout him more closely. |

15 former 1st rd picks on the roster........ - hello it's me 2050
The other night 16 of the 18 skaters were first round picks. Michov, Couturier Drysdale were in top 10 and none in top 5. The rest were mid 1st rounders. This kind of supports the notion that, in today's NHL, you must tank first or get very lucky quite often, to succeed.... |

The panic meter will be close to maximum if they lose both games to the Caps this week. They're already 3rd from last in the NHL, with only San Jose and Nashville behind them. |

And Nashville will not stay there long.
Philly will be and I am hopeful they are in the bottom 5.

Quick question. Konecny's NMC only kicks in next season, correct?
Would it be wrong to see if you could move him? Think of Colorado. They might not or never really get Landekog back.
Laughton has this year and next so might be perfect to move him if he has a strong season.
Really i would be good to move whoever as long as it helped me in the future and moved money and term off the team.
Sanheim, Tippett, Cates.
No one would be off limits other then Michkov.

do you really see the flyers doing that? moving tk at this time? unless something has drastically changed ( like a new management team) they view him as a core player.
they have shown no willingness to trade Laughton.
Sanheim would have a lot of value imo. Tippet not so much.
cates will need a qualifying offer which entails a raise. how can they justify that by sitting him. if they dont qualify him he walks for nada. so what do they do?

Absolutely. Go look at Ottawa, Buffalo, Detroit, one of these teams looking to make a jump. Take a player back for salary, a prospect, and a pick |
