Well, they do have a chance - they are contenders. And there won't be many favorites that will part with the assets Leafs would want.

Whether or not they want to re-sign him is irrelevant in Marner's decision to (not) waive his NMC.

He finishes out the season with Leafs, then re-signs a deal both can live with, or goes to FA and gets a big contract.

It's win-win for Marner to finish the year as a Leaf.

Flyers should be focusing on rebuilding. They BADLY need to add a franchise 1C and those almost always come from early in the draft only. Not going to go anywhere without one.

Teams have won the cup recently without drafting their 1c. Yes, its more likely. Not impossible though. They should just suffer from economic hardship, force other owners to pay their salaries and then gifted the best center in the next draft like another team we know of in PA...

agreed, they are not making it to the final four even if they dont change

but they also could be not that far, trade Marner for an Elite D and it all could change

TJ stays in Boston. While it won't move the needle at all, the Riley Tufte and Max Jones experiments so far have been diarrhea. Straight doo doo butter. Hopefully they pull the plugs. TJ is a vet and would be much better than either one of these cucks.
