The flaw in your points is that you keep trying to lump everyone in the same box. Not everyone learns at the same rate. Even if they take initiative. It's about attention to detail. The Flyers seem to lack attention to detail in a lot of areas.

I picked the Flyers to finish last. I said that the Blue Jackets would be better than expected due to dedicating the season to Johnny Hockey, but some folks on here said that I was misguided.
