we have to have our cars inspected by the state every so often. it used to be more stringent but now they just check your emissions and your lights and stuff.

they used to slam on your brakes to make sure they worked and you couldn't have a crack on your windshield that was longer than a penny (and that is legit how they measured it), and all this other stuff.

yesterday was the last day of the month so technically i was driving a little bit illegally this morning.

they give you different colored stickers so the cops know when to pull you over. like mine was orange, so they knew that meant it was good until the end of october 2024. if they see you go by in november with an orange sticker they pull you over and you either explain yourself well enough or get a ticket.
