Bruins got flamed for signing Michell Miller after something he did when he was 12... Don't think they would hire a close to 70 year old coach that was a part of the Chicago Diddlehawks.

I think the Bruins are going to bounce back and Monty will be re-signed. The team dug in this weekend, which makes me believe they still are buying into Monty. If Monty gets fired, they would just put the interim tags on what we already have for assistant coaches and it would be 100% pointless firing.

Not even remotely in the same universe. Quenneville has had conversations with Kyle Beech and has been cleared by Bettman to return. Also take the time and listen to some of his interviews. He realizes now he should've done more. At the time he trusted the front office to do the right thing. Which they didn't. The man has done his time.

Miller was a piece of poop and was not even remotely close to feeling remorse or guilty for what he did.

Let me preface this by saying I am not defending Mitchell Miller in any way but...

To be honest, is there anything out there where Miller actually talks about it? How do we gauge this remorse meter? The internet? The family that obviously hates this kid? The internet is often won by the loudest, not the most accurate.

Mitchell Millers OHL coach spoke pretty candidly and open about him and his time in the OHL. He could very well still be an absolute A-Hole but were only going off of the information brought to us by the media and the media won that battle.

And yes, I agree, they are not remotely in the same universe. One is a child being an absolute idiot because kids are absolute morons to begin with. The other is a grown adult responsible for an NHL team not taking action when he should have. I'd also expect an adult to be better at apologizing than a teenager.

Either way scandals are scandals. Feel like they should opt to dodge that bullet.

In other news, Max Jones on waivers. Glad that experiment is over.

Moving on to tonight’s game. Feels like Auston Matthews does not like playing the bruins,

Frederic is scoring tonight. He’s felt so snake bit lately

Not a groundbreaking prediction, but I think Johnson will stabilize that third line and help make it consistent. They won't be world heaters but Johnson is a slight upgrade over tufte and jones.

Yeah I don’t have much expectation for TJ so he can only surprise me. Jones was a mess.

Well if you don't play, kinda hard to be blamed for what happens. He's day to day so can't be that bad.

Oh Frederic played.. or should I say, had some time on ice. Not sure I would call what he did (once again) playing.

I would encourage you to listen to the interview of Quenneville on the Cam and Strick podcast. At least hear his point of view.

I know Neely and/or Sweeny should be fired, but... guessing it will likely be Monty.

I mean none of us stop being fans when they play like poop. A little criticism and hungover venting is appropriate sometimes.

My goal for the poopty games is to be too drunk to type. It has been an A+ strategy so far. And the next day I definitely dont want to type as much when I am suffering from a massive hangover.

You think the team is fine?

They've played like shyte most of the season so far - they have one of the worst goal differentials and they will soon be out of a Wild Card spot when other teams play as many games. Two more games played and that's 1/4 of the season.

Many players have underperformed (MacAvoy, Swayman, Lindholm, Coyle, Frederick) - who takes the hit for that? Hard to get rid of the players, so it falls on coaching or the GM.

Meaning Montgomery will be fired within the next week or so. Front office will not accept responsibility and it has to be Chiarelli level bad to force a change.

Joe Sacco interim, then full blown head coach next year. Another moderate or big free agent add and fill the bottom six with spare parts. Maybe let a rookie or two go for nothing or add them as an extra in a trade.

Business as usual.

For the "trust the process" crowd, this is a criticism. Actually its more like trending observations and a likely prediction, but for now I will just stick with criticism.

Real change will come if they don't make the 1st round. As we know that's their benchmark of success. If Jacobs doesn't get his playoff gates, then something major would happen.

Just like all the Harry Sinden years. Making the playoffs was his only goal.

The architect of the special teams? Yep, makes perfect sense and business as usual for this front office. I actually think if anyone should be fired it is Sacco.
That being said, it NEVER works when the nice guy player's coach tries to come down hard...it just doesn't work that way. The hardliner getting softer works in most cases but not the other way around.
Should actually give Leach a shot.
