Whats even more crazy so has Ullmark.

Both own the exact same Save %.

.884% for both

These days you have to be damn sure your goalie is elite otherwise long term deals over 5 or 6 million for almost every goalie is a huge gamble and probably won't take long to turn into a massive mistake.

Its weird how they are the exact same.
But honestly, its so early in the contract, difficult to judge just yet. Swayman didnt play any preseason games and the bruins have been a mess. May take some time for him to get going.
Ullmark hasnt been great at all but neither has the team in front of him. He could turn it around.
Now
That being said i hope they both suck for many years, it would be great.

Right now the Ottawa Senators are underperforming more than the Boston Bruins are - meaning that if the Bruins don't change things up, these are the results you might see from them the rest of the way. Curiously if you look at the Bruins over the past few years, 3 seasons ago they were a top-10 team in most categories, but last year it slipped to middle of the pack for both offensive and defensive expectations - they just overdelivered. This year the defensive play is similar, the offense play is slightly weaker - and the results are worse than expected based on their play, resulting in what we've seen.

I wouldn't say that this is the predictable downfall of the Bruins - they have the roster and character to make some noise in the playoffs - but if they don't play better, it seems Ottawa would have a better WC shot than the Bruins do. Of course in the Metro they have Jersey, NYR, Carolina, Washington, the Islanders and the Flyers all pacing above either the Bruins or the Senators.

That said if I were being predictive based on the numbers - the teams who are noticeably outperforming their current standings and will all likely come back down are Washington, Minnesota and Winnipeg. The teams who are all noticeably underperforming and are due for some better results are Nashville, Colorado and Pittsburgh.

Boston will pick up now that Leafs legend Joe Sacco is in charge.

I looked him up - can't believe he had 738 NHL games in his career. I remember him as a Leafs bust, and nothing more.

I suppose both can be true - but ultimately as a team they should have had noticeably better offensive results and somewhat better defensive results. Nedeljkovic and Jarry have both been terrible - but Blomqvist has been decent and the team has played worse in front of him. Maybe instead of losing 6-0 they should be losing 5-2.

Good I really liked what I saw from him in pre-season, he has some feistiness, he reminds me a bit of Grabo actually - who I saw got picked up by Edmonton. The Oilers sure do like themselves some left over Leafs (or former leaf player) when one becomes available it seems lol.

Well Vegas is missing Stone which is close to Matthews loss.

The way Domi is playing it is quite possible Minten can provide the same or better results.

Greb and Steeves in for Reaves and Patches.

I like the Leafs in this one.

He has been good on the Marlies. Excited to see him with some confidence.
