Good I really liked what I saw from him in pre-season, he has some feistiness, he reminds me a bit of Grabo actually - who I saw got picked up by Edmonton. The Oilers sure do like themselves some left over Leafs (or former leaf player) when one becomes available it seems lol. - Cush29

Well Vegas is missing Stone which is close to Matthews loss.
The way Domi is playing it is quite possible Minten can provide the same or better results.
Greb and Steeves in for Reaves and Patches.
I like the Leafs in this one. - Santo_44
While I love Stones game and the player, I wouldn't call it close to a wash of him and Matthews being out.. one has a career high of 28 goals and 63 points, the other has a career high of 69 goals and 107 points. Matthews has hit 60 goals twice, Stone has never hit 30 goals.

21 points in 13 games this year.
The versions we have seen of both players Stone has been better, but Matthews has been injured.

Career year for one, down year for the other, but their career stats speak for themselves quite convincingly. When it comes to their career highs, Matthews goals alone trumps Stone best point total.

Me too! But even more crazy was seeing a team give Kulemin a pto. - systemtool
Kulemin's family is in the GTA and his kid plays there. It was just a nice gesture from Dave Poulin who knew him from that brief time he was with the Leafs.

Didnt know that. Makes sense. Wish he could have cashed in another NHL payday but glad to not see him in a Sens jersey

He was a solid Leaf and really overperformed for expectations during that dark time But man he was freaking slow when he left the NHL. Didn't see a lot of the Sens pre-season, but can't imagine he gained speed at 38.

- BINGO!
Gerber? He had a couple decent years in Ottawa no?
I only remember him coming to the Leafs at the TDL and if memory serves me correctly playing well enough to ensure the Leafs got a crappy draft pick while missing the playoffs. lol

Yea him and grabs were good to watch... man you nailed it right. Dark times when they were some of the highlights we look back on. Was thinking the other day, man the Habs top guns of Caufield Suzuki and Slavkovsky seem very similar to our Kessel Bozak JVR years.

I think the Habs are in a better place with those 3 easily, but yes, the days of "OMG OUR FIRST LINE YOUNG GUY SCORED 20 GOALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" as an amazing thing are long gone...thankfully.

Was it mcArthur that played with them too? That was actually not a terrible line.

I can remember having an argument here with somebody who INSISTED 25 year old Tyler Bozak was a legitimate 1C
