"WINTER" : Warm to cool. (November to February)

I say 2.5 because there is a lot of overlap between Spring and Summer when heat indexes regularly exceed 37C.

If you really want to see how beautiful Florida weather can be : November, December and March, April are the best for hiking, paddling, camping, beach, etc.

Florida is half Canadian in the winter. Weirdly, I see more Canadiens jerseys than any other. Next is Leafs. Then the occasional Flames or Jets jersey. I don't know if I have ever seen an Ottawa jersey in the wild down here.

The entire south is deep red and heavily armed. If either of those pose an issue, you're gonna have a bad time. I've learned to coexist with the former and am part of the latter. You don't see a lot of open carry down here, even in places where it's legal. Now, Texas on the other hand... A lot of people are walking or driving around armed in Florida, but you won't notice it. They keep their weapons concealed. Overall, violent crime has been trending downwards, except in the Orlando area. Orlando is a poophole and has been for a long time. Crime follows the tourists. Miami is bad also.

In the rural areas you have a lot of property crimes. Meth junkies and drunk rednecks like stealing anything that isn't nailed down.
