There are few players on the Habs the last 30+ years I wanted to see play their whole carrer only with the Habs.
The last one was Markov, and of all the poop moved MB did, not re-signing him is the one that pisses me off the most to this day - out of every (frank) up he made.
Yeah, he played his whole career with the Habs, but he had a few good years left, plus he was 10 games short of 1000.

while I don't necessarily share the same hatred for MB, I did find he handled things with Markov very poorly, although I think Markov wasn't all that open-minded either going in those potential contract negotiations. |

to my knowledge Bergevin offered him a 1y contract. Markov wanted 2y, and decided to go back home instead. difficult to blame the gm imo. |
