it isn't because they sold millions of albums that it automatically means they're good, the same way a band that is barely known by anyone can also be awesome... they have been polarizing in the "rock" music genre because they tend to have songs that sound the same from one to another and seem more eager to sell out and be radio-friendly than to write good music.

but obviously that's all very subjective, people are allowed to like whatever the (frank) they want.
