then they merged the sales reps jobs and a bunch of us newer hires got laid off.

oh, well that part sucks... at least it sounds like you still got a good run out of it, and something to keep on your curriculum.

it was so easy. i eventually learned to do it without even going to my stores. you just get used to the rhythm of your stores (i had 140 supermarkets) and what they sell and what you need to reorder for them. and nestle would just send you checks from all directions. some weeks i'd get 3 checks in the mail.

I hope not.

We tried the whole "turn that winger into a centre" thing already.

- Scabeh

Maybe it's just in case the center gets thrown off, backup insurance.

I don't he'd be a great center, he's at his best deep in the zone retrieving pucks to make plays.

yeah, if it's just for the purpose of having another guy on that line who can take faceoffs, it makes sense.

Brunette and the Preds getting a penalty last night for "not starting the official starting lineup".

I don't remember ever seen that before.

Imagine the chaos if St-Louis did that in Montreal.

- Scabeh

I remember the Mets did that a few years back, but ya In hockey never seen that !

Erik Johnson reaching 1,000 games made the 2006 Draft the first ever where the top seven selections reached the millennium milestone. Johnson went first, followed by Jordan Staal, Jonathan Toews, Nicklas Backstrom, Phil Kessel, Derick Brassard and Kyle Okposo.

That's all I got.

Now, it sure was a hit to the head.

Seems the NHL has a line somewhere, few know where it is..

and that seems to be the issue, it isn't very clear for most people involved.

if the conclusion for that particular hit is "it was within NHL rules", then something needs to be changed imho. I don't think that being more strict with headshots would result in a contactless bland sport like some are making it out to be, it's only a matter of better protecting players, who literally represent the league's product on the ice.

I think the problem is, you guys are so used to overwhelming love from the TSN crew, that you just can't see the ordinary love from the Sportsnet gang..

And some of that is on the player being hit, you can't skate around leading with your head, someone's rock you.

I'm mean look at Slaf in his rookie year, how many times did he get rocked with no penalty?

Seems he's learned to keep his head up..
