that... is depressing.

i lived and breathed with them when i was a kid. even when they did have down years i watched every game. garry galley? watched him. wes walz? watched him. bruce frigging hoffort? i watched him too. but i can't do that anymore. we have bills to pay and real life things to do. i'll pay attention when they're a little more worth our time.

Not as depressing as a hockey game with 13 shots for your team...

- Snots33_77

meh, not sure if you watched it but the shot count wasn't 100% indicative of the game imho.

2 goals on 13 shots.

If they get 26 shots, they will likely win more than they lose.

It is math.

I watched the 1st period.

All those penalties they took were frustrating.

Turned off the game at the end of the 1st.

One of the rare games I've watched entirely... Not my best decision

Yeah, I get it.

At least in your market, there are other teams to follow / cheer for / watch.

We are pretty much stuck with the Habs.

bah, people that are too fed up with the team should just stop, it isn't healthy if you're just getting depressed watching the games lol.

am I the only one who doesn't give a poop about the canada post strike?
I mean, they could shut it down completely it wouldn't change a thing for me.

I have set expectations for the team, they have not met them, but they are not terrible that far off either.

As I have said before, it is next year where I really expect a step upwards.

So I watch 'til I have had enough and then just do something else. I did not expect them to make the playoffs this year, I expected them to have a top 10 pick, but I also expected a little more offense (feel the defense / goaltending is where I expected it to be).

There has been significant improvement on specialty teams, so that is a positive.

I think MSL makes it through the season, but I am not sure if he is back for 25/26 season. And if he is, I expect changes to the assistant coaches.

Feel bad for them.

yeah, I doubt they make a coaching change during the current season, but if they continue on this trajectory throughout the whole year I agree MSL might not be there to start the next one. if they do end up playing more decently he'll probably keep his job, but adding some experience behind the bench to help him out would be a damn good idea.

Yeah, not sure why HuGo did not insist on this type of addition to the staff this year or MSL being more proactive in asking for more help.

Either way, this might be their biggest mistake since taking over the management of the team.

I don't know the dynamic that went on during these conversations, some think MSL insisted he didn't want additional help but I kinda doubt that... I don't see this as being that huge of a mistake for now, in the sense that there's still time to make adjustments, but if they do keep the same coaching staff for the next few years without changing anything and yet getting the same results, then it would end up being a pretty big blunder indeed.

It's kind of surreal that Milk Babschlong was a HHOFer, best coach in the world and Team Canada ubermensch to dried up hobbo sipping on the copium of his millions conned out of teams in only a decade of time.

They're definitively not the solution either ... they're not gonna get better and they're expensive for zero results.

I'd rather have kids gain experience and there would be a possibility they would get better. And we know rookies usually play with heart instead of vets who sit on their contract and show up once in a while.

I've seen enough of some faces in our lineup ... bring in new blood.

- Garfield512

again like anything its a balance, you can't only play rookies... need GOOD vet like Gally and Savard to teach them...not sure where i stand for Matheson

Thye should have kept Perry back then

for what?

there is no saving this season, Dach is not back to normal after his major surgery last year, young guys have no progressed much and the rookies are finding out why it takes a couple years to perform in the NHL.

Grab another top 5 pick, hopefully closer to 1st overall.

Anderson is signed until 2027
Savard, Armia and Dvo are UFA after this season
Matheson has one more year after this season

Not sure anyone is looking to take on Armia.

I say the BIG move he will make....place Pezz on waiver or they could place RHP on waiver and keep him in Laval, it's not like he is a hot commodity, he is barely performing at the AHL level

- Symba007

well he playing Great in PK, I can see him being traded for like a 4th pick
