I was gonna say I'd write a guest blog at some point. But then I thought but this site probably doesn't just let anyone post in a blog. Then I cracked myself up laughing at that.

I do wish there was more hockey writing out there that talks about the actual systems teams are using. I remember Paul Maurice saying one time to a microphone about how Toronto and some other team play totally different defensive systems. I was like huh, I'd love to read a piece by Maurice about what those differences are, and what all the different teams do.

I'm disappointed that there is so much ink spent on transaction gossip and the usual clichés.

100% this. I would expect that a team like Toronto has a lot better writers on the beat. Tampa has very few, most are poop or noobs, and some I suspect are just AI spitting out "Lightning should inquire about Player X" etc.

Part of the reason I found HockeyBuzz years ago is because I couldn't find Lightning articles worth a poop. HB actually had a couple of decent Tampa bloggers over the years. Stuart was good and he has a blog on Substack now.

There are people that do absolutely (frank) all every day, and actually impede other people doing their job. Sometimes that useless carbon blob is a highly paid manager. And everything is being done by everyone else that doesn't suck.
