Maybe at some point. But neither player is having the 100 p 50 goal impact those 2 did as rookie/young players.

Yeah, I'd be surprised if it ever gets to that level. Crosby and Ovi are generational players, and I'm not sure Bedard and or Michkov will ever get to that level. My biggest concern with Michkov is his skating. I notice that he seems to struggle against the faster teams and his skating looks a bit labored at times. He seems to have the IQ and skills, but his skating could be the one thing that holds him back from being elite. Just my .02.

We won the Stanley Cup 3 times in the last 15 years. Trust me, Penguin fans will be fine.

Meanwhile the only Stanley Cup you've seen since 1976 was when you beat the Penguins in 2012 in the playoffs.

Flyers and bad skaters - perfect together. It is a long list, but when you prioritize grit/grind over skill this is the result.

Not to mention that if you're going to be bad. The worse you are the better off you are. There is no moral victory in pro sports in being slightly less worse.

Michkov is in no way shape or form a bad skater. He may lack top end speed but his agility and edge work are elite.

Michkov doesn't have a skating issue. He is going to be an elite player. It's just going to take some time.

His skating is fine. Hes no Tippett or Luchenko when ot comes to speed but he isn't slow. His skating is average which is fine. His skill makes up for it. He is still adjusting to the nhl as well. He looked really slow before he got scratched. When he returned he had more jump and energy. Its gonna take a few years to build that endurance

Agree and he will get stronger and that will help his straight away speed. Guys who are that talented find ways to get better

His game offensively at 5 on 5 is shielding the puck on the cycle and finding passing seams. As well as controlling the puck up high. I don't see any skating issue. I think he has a legit chance to be a 100 point scorer eventually. Criticizing skating is just lazy analysis and a fall back position. Not every top player in the league is a blazer.

Agreed, 100%. Ive told other Pens fans to be miserable now so it results in a better draft pick in a few months.

Typical Penwhines fan response. Do you have reading comprehension issues? I asked how your Pens were doing THIS YEAR? Eh what? Don't worry, I'm sure Buttman will gift you guys another generational talent soon enough to keep the Pens from moving to KC when your frontrunner fans stop attending games.

He is NOT an elite skater!! It's that simple! It's very easy to see for those in the know. Just like it's very easy to see for those in the know that your boy Frosty has a compete issue!! Thanks! Mic drop!

Nor is every blazer a top player. Ryan Poehling comes to mind immediately.

Michkov needs to play with a center and a winger that can finish. Already you can see this season he is making passes to players that just don't see the ice as well as he does.

Nobody said he was an elite skater. I however, said his edge work and agility were elite. Which they are.
