So Richard has 2 G and 4 A in 7 games, and is a +4, but he somehow gets sent back down to the minors? Guy has speed and was generating offense along with being defensively responsible. Send Frost down cause no one is gonna claim him off of waivers.

Richard has been a pleasant little surprise. Talk about compete level. What he lacks in talent he makes up for in work ethic. Hes a good bottom 6 forward and his speed and defensive responsibility make him a good SH player.

They’re the wish.com Crosby/Ovechkin.

Bedard is simply not in that ilk, and it’s not too early to make that conclusion. He simply hasn’t put up the numbers early the others did. He’s not in the same class. He can maybe get to a Kane or Mackinnon level but he will never be Sid.

Michkov I have seen less of. With holding judgment there

I don’t like him being sent down. He showed me enough to stay.

I want the young players playing, including Frost. Keeping him up gives Tortorella another option and reason to scratch a young player.

I don’t like that move at all. I liked his play and his speed was helpful.

Side note, watching the stupid Canadian sports media up here. Sportsnet did a segment on best rookies. They went through the 3 person panel and no one mentioned mm as their Calder favourite. Dustin wolf and Stankoven were their picks. Holy biased. Mm was
Rookie of the month and still leads rookies in scoring wtf???

Typical get off of my lawn Canadians. Steve Kouleus is the worst of the bunch! Of course, they would ignore the Russian. Some things will never change. There's still some folks up there that think the Flyers are still the Broad Street Bullies. Nothing against Canadians in general. Been there many times and folks are cool.

It's amazing how the NHL just loves to recycle their coaches. If Sullivan gets fired in Pitt someone will probably snap him up right away too.

You can call this one a recycle I guess. To me Monty is the best coach available and I wish he stuck around long enough to coach here.

I would lay odds Sullivan is the next coach of the Flyers with his Torts connection.

I agree. ND should be put on waivers, but we know that will never happen cause the Flyers are of the mindset that you still need the big bad wolf to scare the other team even though it's quite obvious that he isn't an NHL player anymore.

I agree that Monty is a good coach which makes me wonder what really went down in Boston. Rumors are out there that Monty didn't see eye to eye with management about how to go forward with the team. I hope you are wrong about Sully, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Not at all a shock that Montgomery was hired so quickly. He is one of the best coaches in the NHL. I would love for him to have been hired by the Flyers but if I was him. I'd want no part of the Flyers.

Frost at best is a 3rd line center. He is as good as Poehling who also should be replaced

I believe that Frost needs to and can play with more intensity. I don't think it's because he has a natural lack of compete. I think it's because of the environment that this coach has created for him. Even when he has played well, this coach has sat him or taken away ice time or benched him in games. He's tentative because he's trying to avoid mistakes. Stopped attempting higher risk plays that a playmaker like him can make. Knowing that one poor play will see him back in the press box again. Couple that with being on an expiring contract. Reality is sinking in that Tortorella has created another situation where a player asset is devalued and the most likely course is that a change of scenery needs to happen at this point. It's not going to happen here for this player under this coach. The question then becomes which player will take his place and fill the insatiable need this coach has to need a whipping boy. Like a toddler needs a teddy bear.

Frost is a much better player than Poehling is.

To get the win they had to play 4 of their D-men 20+ min, including one that just came back from injury. Gran seems solid why did he only get 12 min? Also, Seeler with only 13; he seems to not be getting as many minutes. Is it possible his contract was yet another mistake in a long line of mistakes that has spanned several GMs?

The problem with that is that ND poehling will still make the lineup at the expense of a young player. I’d rather have Richard play than at the very least nd.

Michkov has been frequently with Cates or Poehling at center during 5 on 5. It truly is an amazing feat he is nearly point per game player.

I had to look it up, but 9 of his 16 points are on the PP.

Not to make excuses for him, but I wonder if Seeler is playing through an injury? I didn't see yesterday's game, but a couple of games ago he appeared to be laboring and less aggressive than usual. I mean, the guy blocks 50 shots a week. He must have bruises all over.

Exactly, still getting 7 points at even strength when dragging around 4th lines centers as a 19 yr old is very impressive.

Friedman reporting CLB looking for a similiar young player back for Jiricek. Would not be surprised if Foerster is involved if a deal gets done.

Frost at this point is what he is, could he get better sure but he is going on his 3rd contract, and realistically even if he does become way better it won't be for long before his play digress.

Better to trade and target a young player with potential like a Shane wright

I'm Canadian and my favorite player is ovechkin, and my favorite flyer is michkov.

But i would say most Canadians only think Canadians makes the best hockey players.
And will be biased in comparing to other countries
